I really enjoyed our tour of Sandy Island. We had toured Daufuski earlier this year and found this tour better and more authentic.

We have taken Captain Steve’s tour twice and it is been a five star experience each time. Unfortunately the captain has retired and sold his boat and moved up north. He will be missed.

My 15 year old daughter loves to fish! She earned money by working hard this summer and decided to book a goliath grouper charter with Jesse McDowall. There were many charters to choose from but after booking with Jesse we knew we had made the right choice. From that point on everything was personal. He sent photos of the daily catch, communicated with us about the trip, and congratulated my daughter on accomplishments right up until the day of our charter. The weather was beautiful and Jesse, along with his wife Kelly, put us right on the grouper! Both of my girls caught beautiful grouper and enjoyed every minute of the trip. We caught three nice fish and to end the trip my daughter got the opportunity to fight a mature monster grouper! What an amazing way to end a perfect day. I fully recommend Jesse and Kelly for your next fishing experience. We will absolutely be back! Couldn't be more satisfied with our experience!

Captain Taylor took a group of 20 Boy Scouts and 5 adults fishing and he was amazing. He was a superb teacher and demonstrated amazing patience working with all the boys. It is amazing how much he knows about the fish and all the animals that tell you about the fish down below. Captain Taylor is also an Eagle Scout and was well prepared to meet all the needs for an amazing experience.

One of the best experiences I have ever had saltwater fishing. He knows what he is doing, hands down. Capt. Jeff was treating me and my buddy like he has known us for decades. Any style of fishing, I'm sure he can show you how it's done.

We love Surf the Earth! Every summer they provide great surf instruction for our daughter and she improves every year. We tried camp this year and she couldn’t have been happier. Even with rough surf and bad weather they made accommodations and helped create a fun and safe time.

Captain Steve did it again. My son and I had a great time on the water yesterday. Caught several red fish but SC laws said we could only keep two of the four we caught. But remember... its not always what you caught or how many because the memory, fun and enjoyment will last forever.

My husband and son (age 7) took a kayak fishing trip with Captain Rob on our trip to Pawleys Island (the parent/child special where the focus is on the child). Our son had no fishing experience beyond fishing in his grandparents' pond prior to this trip.

To say that he loved this fishing experience would be an understatement! For over four hours, the focus was on helping our son create the most awesome fishing experience of his life. Rob constantly baited hooks and cheered him on, all while capturing the moment on camera. The highlight of the fishing trip for my son was catching three blacktip sharks. He spent the rest of our vacation saying he wanted to go fishing with Captain Rob again!

If you're looking for an individualized fishing trip, or want to make some wonderful memories with your child, definitely call Rob. You won't be disappointed!

From flounder fishing to crabbing to a tour of the five rivers of the Winyah Bay estuary Stump Grant has consistently shown our family a good time. We have 5 and 11 yo children and it can be a challenge at the beach to do something to appreciate the natural beauty and history of the Low Country. We’ve fished Pawleys Creek and caught flounder, taking breaks to throw a cast net and bring in bait fish. Today we launched the boat on the Waccamaw River, wound past abandoned rice plantations towards the ocean, finally walking a deserted beach shell collecting. On the way we saw a bald eagle, dolphins, and heard some of the history of the area. Fishing is fun but can be hot and even an experienced captain can’t produce every time. Expand your idea of a successful trip by making it an ecotour.
