What travellers are saying
- ne7 contributionsI enjoyed my afternoon here. I also found it quite handy for a walk. There were several larger shops present (than those available in the city centre). Also, there were plenty of useful facilities and amenities (e.g., quiet/reflection room, food outlets, free parking, etc.,) so you can spend more time if wanted. I queried a staff member regarding the presence of a facility, and she was helpful.Written August 13, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ian LGlasgow, UK11 contributionsA phenomenal venue with an amazing atmosphere. Braehead arena really is the best and I cannot wait to go back. If you’ve never been to see Glasgow Clan then make it happen, you’ll love it.Written June 21, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Karen MRenfrew, UK5 contributionsThe Park is very clean and is run by Friends of Knockhill Park volunteer group
The Park held free activites every day for the children and there are toilets and a tea room in the hub that also has a tuck shop for the children
There is a under 5 enclosed play area and an over 5's play area with zip slide climbing frame and basket ball net
there is fitness equipment situated in the park along the walking or running path and enclosed area for football or other sports, it also has a enclosed dog areaWritten August 20, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The kids group had a blast and one or two who were a little nervous were encouraged and managed to get round the whole obstacle course, which by all accounts was great fun. Some went round 3 times! Plus had plenty of time on climbing wall (which luckily was first of the 3 activities). Guide Nick seemed very nice and in control of 8 excited 9/10 year olds! I did use Groupon which made it more affordable but the 8 person deal on website isn't bad too, considering they had multiple goes on each part. A great time for adventurous kids!Written February 6, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- macedonboyGlasgow, UK165,935 contributionsThis memorial is dedicated to the soldiers who died in the two world wars. The memorial takes the form of a mercat cross design. The memorial consists of an octagonal base with relief panels, some with plaques displaying a roll of honour and two with relief sculpture of soldiers going into battle. It was sad to see so many from the small town of Renfrew who died fighting in the two wars. Also included is the name of a soldier from Renfrew who died fighting in the Falklands War.
In the middle of the base is a pillar topped with a heraldic lion. Laurels of shamrocks, thistles and roses wrapped around the pillar. Another interesting feature of the base is balustrade that forms something looking like a tower. Overall, a nice memorial and aesthetically pleasing.Written June 19, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - macedonboyGlasgow, UK165,935 contributionsThis cairn is a monument in tribute to those lives lost as a result of poor health and safety working conditions. The long history of industrial heritage in Renfrew often predates the fight for safe working conditions, so it is important that the city honour those workers.
The monument takes the form of a cairn as is common in this part of Scotland. There’s a bronze plaque explaining the purpose of the monument. The monument is located in the centre of the park.Written June 23, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
