Not sure what we would find, my daughter took my wife and I (along with her youngsters and wife) to this attraction and giving that it is not full of massive rides etc., it does provide an enjoyable day out.
Clearly running as a charitable type organisation rather than purely commerial gives a much more personal feel to it. They do have plenty to occupy every age and you can easily spend 3-4 hours here, even in pretty poor weather.
When we arrived, it was a halloween theme with a number of features geared to the festivities of the event. Apparently they change many of the exhibits to reflect the season.
Staff were very good, friendly and where necessary, helpful in answering questions or pointing the way and the feeling that you don't have to have your hand in your pockets constantly, is a bonus.
Certainly worth every penny (and that was in a pretty dreich day).

Having tried the amazing rum at Christmas, I was delighted to have the opportunity to visit the distillery and sample the extensive range on offer. Paul and Jacine were excellent hosts and very knowledgeable about their product and their passion was evident. I particularly enjoyed the pairing with food and different rums, which gives you the opportunity to to appreciate the complex tastes on offer.
If you think that you would only drink whiskey then you are in for a treat as one of the Rums is a happy mix of tastes but ultimately its a rum!
Watch out whisky distillers they are coming after your customers.

Great place to shop for deals, especially for M&S, BOSS and some athletic stores like NIKE and Under Armour. Not thrilled when it was crowded, but during midweek it’s a great place to do your shopping anxious free!

Went to see the UK Rock Show and was very pleasantly shocked as to the standard of show and sound. A fantastic performance from all concerned from the set setters to the top class sound mixers......and not forgetting "The UK Rock Show" band itslf which was just as good playing the tracks as the original groups were - or better !!(other than just one song only - Whitesnake's Here I go again) What a great band !!!

I was at this church earlier this year to witness two young brothers from our own Church being baptised. It is a very well laid out modern design.

The members of this church that assisted with the catering after the baptisms, were very friendly.

I am sure that you will be given a very warm welcome if you choose to visit them.

I've visited the Tony Macaroni Arena, or Almondvale Stadium as it's otherwise known, on several occasions to watch football and also for work. It's a small, modern stadium and is fairly compact. I visited today to watch the Livingston v Celtic game and the ground was fairly close to capacity resulting in a good atmosphere. Livingston don't usually get big attendances and so the atmosphere isn't normally as vibrant. The sightlines from our seats in the West Stand were pretty decent. Overall it's a good place to watch football but it's just a shame about the name. It must be one of the most ridiculously named stadiums in football, due solely to sponsorship. Needs must I suppose!

It was great fun. I obviously can's say much about the puzzles as that would spoil it for others - but there were a variety of them, and some require a bit of team work to complete.

As you drive from Edinburgh along the M9 you can see huge red piles of waste this is from the 19th century vast Shale Oil Industry that has now vanished. But it was 'Praffin Jack' who made it possible to light ones home with paraffing lamps. It only went out of business when Grangemouth opened in 1923 and started using oil from the Middle East. Today this land grows grass and sheep graze - but it was heavy industry then. This is what they now do in Alberta Canada - a must for all Canadians.
The museum is a fascinating glimpse into a now vanished past, but Scotland led the way. Over the hill onee can see the Grangemouth refinery - or the Culross Palace built on the wealth of coal from under the Forth.
This museum is a hidden gem for the curious - both young and old. And they have a pleasing cafe with good coffee and good cakes. A hidden joy, and well worth a visit. We took almost two hours and then a coffee. Enjoy
