2nd visit here, there is plenty of parking, reasonably priced, walks through meadows, woods, or along boardwalks to the severely stoned beach which is not walking friendly, there is a café with friendly staff and toilets. Well worth a visit

Quite a long stretch of clean beach with a decent promenade behind it. Be prepared to be annoyed by voice message over tannoy, "keep our beach clean and remove your litter" every 30 minutes whilst walking the prom. We found parking easy.

but is it as good as I remember it, don't think so, just looked a bit grubby in places and a couple of rides I just wouldn't do anymore (risk adverse with age)! Plenty of footfall on the day as it was sunny but sea breeze but a few ride operators looking bored with no custom.

A very interesting and informative visit about the locals' involvements and Barry's wartime involvement. Plenty of exhibits to peruse and volunteers to talk to. Worth visiting if interested in local wartime history.

Lovely littel pebble beach with toilets & coffee shop right off beach. Parking free too (it is limited). Bit steep to get down to sea though, so if not good on your feet you won't be able to get down to the sea.
Lovely lake & skatepark nearby too, will be back :-)

A hidden gem! A Google search informed us of a beach near where we staying in south Wales which has actual dinosaur footprints in the rocks! We didn’t quite believe this could be true so put ‘Bendricks Beach’ into google maps raring to go. It didn’t quite locate the place however, so we set off in the general direction. Once we went as far as Google maps could manage, I asked at a truckers cafe where it was.You basically locate the tip on the industrial estate and the beach is down an unmarked path on the left. We found the beach and even without the promise of dinosaur footprints, it’s pretty spectacular itself! It’s all rocks, not a sandy beach but just such an interesting and different place to be. My teenage boys, rather than being bored, actually loved its almost giant parkour playground vibe!

And yes, we quickly found the footprints!!! I can’t believe they’re still visible after all this time, sea erosion and unprotected accessibility to the public. You have to look closely and they’re obviously not as clearly defined as they once would have been but with a couple of them, you can definitely make out the trail of one foot landing in front of another. Really cool find!

My partner and I came here to watch Jasper Blakeley’s show ‘CHARLATAN’ on 05/07/2024 and we thoroughly enjoyed. Very entertaining and couldn’t recommend enough. It was a lovely space and very welcoming. We’re looking forward to Jasper’s next show! 10/10!

Go there quite often as its easier than Town centre but parking can be a problem in busy times. Most types of small shops cater for many needs and good value for money for food and drink in the many outlets and other shops.

I bought the Half Day Experience for my grandfather's birthday, as he has seen a bird show before and enjoyed it, this would be the next step up for him to get a bit more hands on.. He absolutely loved it!

The trainer, Jamie, was very friendly and funny which made my grandfather feel comfortable straight away. He was very knowledgeable and gave some history on falconry and the birds, along with his own anecdotes which were very interesting to hear.
The session was 3 hours long and he had a go at flying about 4 or 5 different birds including owls too, which he was absolutely thrilled with!

The birds were beautiful to look at and we were surprised how many were there! The facility could do with a little updating however It's not as bad as the reviews below suggest.. It's not London Zoo so don't expect that.. it's a small family run facility so appreciate the time and effort that is put in to care for the birds.

All in all, we were super pleased we brought him along for a day out, it's definitely a day he will remember for many years! Thank you so much!
