What travellers are saying
- missbedoraVictoria, Canada29 contributionsRough water, not at all for swimming. But lovely and long for daily walks. Make sure you are here for sunset every day! The vendors can be a bit annoying, but will move alone with a polite “no gracias.”
Highly recommend foot massages from Bertha, and around sunset look for a woman walking around selling brownies they are the best brownies EVER.
We ordered drinks and/or food from the various restaurants so we sat in the free loungers with umbrellas all day. The ones right at the front near the water have a daily charge to rent I believe.Written December 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The hike wasn't too difficult and had beautiful views. It rained during the hike, but was warm enough out that it wasn't a problem. Highly recommended!Written November 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Margaret Wold-SackeyLaguna Beach, CA71 contributionsEntreamigos community space is a great space to visit, relax, have a fresh squeezed juice, and peruse their library of books. This is mainly a large community center that offers after school programs for the local kids, as well as they are the recycling center for the town of San Pancho. The interior space is open, bright, comfortable, and welcoming of all lifestyles. The kids interact, play, read books, and hang out. They have a small gift shop of local artist items, funds go to support the center. They also have a small shop of used goods for sale, a thrift shop. 1 hour to enjoy Entremigos, relax, have a drink and continue with your day!
Consider bringing a book or new kids toy to donate. There is a front desk assistant that can answer questions in Spanish or English.
Cirque de los Ninos is next door to Entreamigos, and this is an amazing gymnasium for the local kids to receive acrobatic training. They have an annual fundraising show every February (I believe February), which sells out every year. Cirque de los Ninos was founded by one of the founders of Cirque du Soleil. This is a beautiful gift and space for the local community, and one that survives on donations and support from the community and visitors. If you are in San Pancho during one of their shows, don't miss it!

They have some pretty nice hand-crafted jewelry, crochet animals/characters, hats, wood plates/serve ware, blankets, beach attire, artwork, and some other goods. Several food choices there, including some local entrees, sausage dishes, etc. Ended up buying some fresh produce and random items like figs, cacao powder, and artisanal bread. The Mercado was relatively small, so not comparable to something like a flea market. The live music is one of the best things there. Not sure if they play there every week, but they were entertaining. For those that want to know, there was a set of bathrooms there, but required a 15 peso charge. If you’re in town for a meal, just use the restroom at those establishments. If the kids get bored, there’s a playground in the Plaza along with a full basketball court. Hope that’s helpful. - Michael MLebanon, OR683 contributionsOur guide was awesome. He met us at our hotel in San Pancho and we followed about 25 minutes north to the small town that we pushed off from. It was just my wife and I so we got the guide all to ourselves. He was a man in his 60s we think and has lived a very adventurous life. He knew a lot about the area and kept us entertained for the 2 hour trip. It was hot being there was no wind that day, but the ocean was calm so the trip was easy. We stopped on a small secluded beach on the way back and spent 30 minutes or so exploring the beach and swimming. It was great experience and we highly recommend it.Written March 12, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lori R1 contributionSo glad to find this wonderful store in San Pancho! The owners, Layne and Ricardo, have traveled throughout Mexico to find beautiful and unique handmade items for every budget and style. I especially like their textiles and ceramics. The store is enchanting and inspiring and I can't wait to visit them again soon!Written January 13, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Johanna DPuerto Vallarta, Mexico46 contributionsNot only is this a beautiful 9 hole course, but the restaurant serves up some wonderful food, and plentiful. Shrimp anything is delicious. The course was previously an orchard and is presently well manicured. Karen and Tony keep things running and cater to individual needs. Some challenges with "the bowling alley", water hazards, and sand traps.Written February 3, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sandy DVancouver, Canada2 contributionsThe staff were great, offering extra charge cords if needed and going over all instructions thoroughly. The on line booking process made it all easy. Enjoyed our cart excursions for seeing areas that were too far yo walk.Written February 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
