- Cruiser8221923 contributionsWe had a fantastic private safari tour with Marissa as our guide. We can't say enough wonderful things about the her and the park. - Millie E4 contributionsThis park was a lot of fun. Did I mention it’s free! The kids loved sliding down the rocks in the current. Would recommend good water shoes. Rocks are slippery.Written July 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- DayTrip18981311430Dallas, TX3 contributionsThere’s really not much to it for the price but my granddaughters loved it. Go to the early fossil dig . You sift through sand for small fossils and can only keep three. ( you throw the rest back). My granddaughter said it wasn’t fair after all her hard work.🙄 The gem mine is fun. It got really hot but after the museum there’s not much else to do. It’s ok for a short visit.Written June 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Gary NKeller, TX20 contributionsA Fall weekend booked to introduce our two-year old grandson to the enjoyment of the outdoors and camping.
The facility is obviously run with an eye towards friendly customer service, professionalism and experience. There were plenty of RV-based amenities; adult and family pools (an adult spa was a nice surprise). Family-friendly petting farm, ball court, Mx-track and a fabulous river-front location.
We went for the park’s proximity to Fossil Rim and the Dinosaur Valley S.P. It was a great weekend and a huge success with the family!
Lastly, compliments on very clean rest rooms, a wonderfully stocked general store and activities for kids of all ages. Again, the petting farm was a bit hit.
We look forward to returning one day again with other grandkids to introduce to this wonderful park.Written November 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We love the rocks...always looking for fossils. The river is shallow enough in places to wade and deep enough in places to relax in a tube. Just watch out for mocs (but that goes for any Texas river).Written May 23, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DayTrip18981311430Dallas, TX3 contributionsDowntown Glenrose is pretty neat. We had the most fun at the ShooFly Soda shop. Lots to look at and the ice cream, floats and sandwiches are great! The staff there are friendly and fun. Probably go back for a day just to walk the square.Written June 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tom GWinona, MN2,418 contributionsWe visited Glen Rose, Texas, in April for the Solar Eclipse. We rented the pavilion at this park. Nice park, interesting historical buildings, nice playground for kids, clean restrooms, and a nice walkway along the Wheeler Branch of the Brazos River. The only thing this park is missing, in my opinion, is a disc golf course.Written April 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - starcrierslongview, tx135 contributionsLots of history! Various artifacts from arrowheads to art, a piano, Dinos, currency, and more. There is a dinosaur track outside and a small garden. It’s free but donations are appreciated.Written June 19, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- sadams76Alvarado, TX37 contributionsThe clearest lake I've seen in Texas! Clear as Lake Mead. Has a concession stand and 95.3 radio station and a live band.
