This was our first camping trip. We arrived at our site with only a couple of hours of daylight, so we didn't do much exploring outside of locating the bathroom, which was very clean! At our site there was enough room for our two 4-person tents, a picnic table, food storage bin, a fire ring with a grill, a tall mini table (I don't know the correct name for it) where we cooked - where tried to cook using our camping stove, but unfortunately it kept going out. We ended up using the fire ring, which was pretty amazing. We walked down to the beach area where the large bathhouse is located , this is where we took showers just because there was more space and less bugs, which my daughter is not a fan of but loved camping. Im not sure if there was a concert going on or if someone was playing a live album - the sound of the crowd seemed really big, but there weren't that many people there and it was definitely passed quiet time which is 10pm. We definitely will go back, so we can stay longer than the two nights and hopefully do some hiking without the rain, which was super peaceful.

Steep 2 km climb to the top with the reward of breathtaking views. We took the serpentine 6 km long route down and think that combination is probably the best for most hikers.
