What travellers are saying
- Yelena V168 contributionsThe place is very special and indeed worth seeing. However i wouldn't plan more than 1 hour to visit it as the center is not very large and there isn't much else to do besides wandering on the streetsWritten March 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SwedishtomcatDiss, UK3,566 contributionsStarted well with a well-furnished bedroom but then petered out of furnishings so it left a little to the imagination. Note it opens 1530 not the advertised 4pm on Tripadvisor. Entry was €2 per person.Written May 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - mtp1970Kournas, Greece267 contributionsThis was my second visit to Alberobello with the first one in April and now in October. I Iwould definitely recommend avoiding August generally because it is mostly crowded and hot.
✔️I love this place because of its originality as well as the romance. The best is if you stay overnight where are all the crowds from the cruise ships and the buses go home. You see the real alberobello, the stars, the quiet side with very few tourists and some locals and great places to eat and drink. I would definitely recommend staying at the romantic truly on the south side of the village where we had our own terrace and enjoyed the views. I also agree that the other side Al picola is amazing., but please pick a real truly if you can afford it to to experience the real deal. I can actually live here. I love it so much.Written October 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The “Little District” is quieter and less crowded than the Monti Neighborhood. It was made obvious by the vases with flowering plants, brightly colored doors, and lace curtains on the windows that this is an area where real people live. We felt it was the most interesting part of Alberobello
The neighborhood is made up of approximately 400 trulli, and almost none are used for commercial activities other than B&Bs, and a few very small hotels.
This quiet and calm area is great for photos.
The name derives from the ancient custom of beating wheat in the square.Written September 12, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. But it is very interesting to see a trulli-style church and well worth a visit.Written April 8, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BrakiWorldTravelerBelgrade, Serbia17,760 contributionsThere are two view points to capture the beautiful Alberobello Trulli houses panorama. Both are located on the Rione Aia Piccola hill opposite the Monti neighborhood (the best, but heavy tourist part).
This Belvedere offers great views from its big terrace, however be prepared to wait your turn to get your photo, specially if there's an Instagram freak before you taking dozens of pics in different positions and checking how he/she appeared on them.
The other spot less crowded is from a small garden we accidentally found while walking that same hill.Written October 1, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Nice architecture to admire even the interior is not stunning as other Puglia churches. The basilica dominates the city, entrance free. I preferred this area as less people strolled around.Written October 30, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MerrowmumGuildford, UK1,284 contributionsA great little tour around the winery and its museum, followed by an excellent tasting session! Our guide was so sweet, with far better English than he let on (he corrected our group’s guide’s translations a couple of times!). He was so knowledgable and with over 50 years in the business, really knew and lived his wines.
The tasting was possibly the best of this type that I have done. We tasted four wines, with generous tasting amounts of each, and a very generous amount of accompanying food which we were encouraged to finish!

Walk across the square up the stairs away from the crowds for a great photo shot, then turn to the south and walk the deserted streets. - valtangoDe Haan, Belgium289 contributionsIt was interesting to learn a little more of the history of the area, and the building of the trulli.Written October 3, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

This building is unique because it is the only double trulli in the town. It is two separate trulli under a joined double roof. It has no windows. It stands on a corner and has two entrances, one on each street.
The legend is it was inhabited by two brothers, one of whom was betrothed to a girl who fell in love with his brother and became his lover. So, driven by anger and revenge, and disputes over its possession, the trullo was divided as a way of pleasing everyone.
Today it houses a souvenir shop.Written September 12, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
