- Bal BLondon, UK2 contributionsAs a family that loves sports, this was a great activity. We were able to explore & learn about the area whilst outdoors enjoying the sun & exercising. Our family consisted of two adults, a 5-year-old & an 11-year-old so we are always looking for activities that we can all take part in. This was perfect for us. Our guide made restaurant recommendations also. We would definitely do this again but maybe a different tour/area. If you like biking longer distances & exercising & learning about the area & doing a variety of things whilst away, try this. Too rough to go into the caves but they are still impressive from the sea.

The staff are amazing and explained everything. Showed us the birds nesting in the cliffs. We got nibbles etc. which was nice. He started by tailoring the city and coast tour to suit our interests and the areas we had already seen. Carlos was the perfect guide and host! His extensive knowledge of the area made the tour interesting and fun. Along the way, we visited a local market, stunning coastal viewpoints, and a fresh vegetable store where we picked up local produce and products, before enjoying a pre-arranged lunch. We had a private tour for just two passengers, travelling in comfort and style in his beautiful BMW, visiting key sites along the extraordinary Algarve coastline west of our hotel in Villamoura and reaching ‘the end of the world’ - as far south west as one may travel in mainland Europe. We had a delicious lunch at Sagres, overlooking the harbour followed by a delightful guided tour of the old town area of Lagos - fascinating and lovely. Pedro provided multiple bottles of refreshingly cold water, took great photos and answered a million questions with expertise, wit and enthusiasm. Pedro’s love of the Algarve shines through every part of the tour - we could not have wished for a better guide. He kindly added a brief stop at a local supermarket, as we did not have our own car, and even recommended some great value local wines.
