- Neilina WNorwich, UK23 contributionsGreat beaches and very relaxing if you want it to be or plenty sporty stuff too.
Some lovely places to eat at for coffee and light lunches.
Boat trips if that is your thi
ng to interesting places ie Skerryvore lighthouse.
Would highly recommend Farmhouse cafe for coffee and lunch and gifts and also see their highland cattle, Yellow Hare near pier for drinks, bagels and gifts, There are other equally good places too.
New this year is the Hebridean Roasters for coffee. also the fish shop which does lovely crab sandwiches to take away. Used the chip van too.
To find out about wildlife and walks guided or self guided ask the Tiree Ranger.Written August 30, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tiree has a rich history which this little gem of a museum is full of. Run by friendly volunteers, this place will make your visit to Tiree all the more worth it by delving into Tiree's past. Highly recommend.Written November 14, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Titch-the-WitchRomanel, Switzerland296 contributionsI had a good wander round here on my first day on the island. The museum is interesting with loads of information about the building of the lighthouse and the life surrounding it. There was also an honesty stall just around the corner where I bought some locally made body scrub and lip balm. There were also edible sweet goodies for sale.
The leaflet said you could go into the Signal Tower but it was locked when I tried to enter.Written August 17, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Fine for most of the way but on occasion it is not easy to see without careful looking!Written October 26, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - user121017Scotland, UK100 contributionsShort walk to the top with excellent views of Tiree and beyond on a clear day. You can see across to Kennevara and out to Skerryvore lighthouse. Well worth a walk.Written November 27, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- philiphenNewcastle upon Tyne, UK8 contributionsReasonably well preserved base with enough of the double walls to walk around and for kids to get an idea what the intact building might have been like. But the location is awesome, the walk to get there is gorgeous with a good chance of seeing an otter or two. The check out the rock formations on the shore beneath the Broch.Written September 21, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jennie C263 contributionsThis feature provides a nice view but it's nothing special - worth a visit but it's even more important to get out and about and look at all the other breathtaking views around the island!Written May 31, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - janet sMalvern Wells, UK122 contributionsDid some retails therapy here and was well pleased with my purchases. Good price range. Intesting to see how the items are made from recycled glass. I like to buy presents whilst on holidays and try to buy local gifts - I did so on this occasion too.
A bit off the beaten track and not clearly marked on the little island map we had been given - but we found it whilst going somewhere else and were well pleased. A very friendly owner/crastswoman too!Written May 21, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It's only open two days a week so might not always be possible for all comers.
Great pottery. Lots of nice things to buy and see. Well worth a stop off. We bought some bowls although I was very tempted by a larger item with a gorgeous hare design on it and resisted. Had no idea how I would trasnport that home and as with all crafts, it's not cheap but then hand crafted works of art shoudn't be.Written June 11, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Helped very much by the warm water and near perfect conditions, Marty and Iona are super friendly instructors, very helpful and focused on everyone having the best possible time. Definitely will be back. Richard & Cate.Written September 5, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- northodogSaffron Walden, UK33 contributionsI’ve used Wild Diamond for the last couple of years. Surf tuition for the kids was excellent, we did two amazing SUP tours and the windsurfing knowledge and kit available as brilliant and got me back into the sport after 15 years off. Highly recommended.Written August 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- karen vDufftown56 contributionsI no Spring Chicken at 59 and jumping on a Paddle Board out at sea seemed a little mre than daunting .
However under the experienced instruction of Caleb l had so much fun , he had the patience of a Saint , provided a clear briefing , gave the opportunity to ask questions throughout. Kept an eye on everyone and was constantly encouraging and supportive.
Ben joined our group as well and his care and attention ensured a younger member didn't feel leamft out , they had a great time.
Both guys ensured that they enhanced our experience wherever possible.
Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend , felt relaxed from the start with them.
Easy to find , excellent briefing and instruction. May not be for you if you are shy , you change in the elements, but what the hell ...you only live once !
Ps - Caleb ..thanks for carrying my board on the way back.Written August 8, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. No problem - gave us a van until car ready and immediately without asking waived the diesel costs. They came to us 1 hour later and we swapped over. Super service. UK mainland hirers could learn a lot !
Great customer service. Well done.Written August 14, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
