An amazing collection of maritime artifacts housed in historic sheds. the entry is through a cute store which has many interesting and useful souvenirs for sale...can you play an "ugly stick"? The outbuildings contain many photos and artifacts from earlier fishing days. The museums are crowded with lots of items to look and examine including whale baleens, etc.

Just a piece of magnificent man made nature. This is one of the most magnificent places to see in Twillingate. The photos here are just amazing. Well worth the trip and to us a must see when here.

Was happy to find a short hike that brings you down to the water. We easily spent a few hours taking in the stunning scenery, reading a book and building inukshuks which we hope others will enjoy. Would love to see other people build more of them and post their picture.

We came here during the heat wave, as it was one of the only places opened. It was so much fun! For $17, you get to choose 10 wines to try. They were really good and we got a kick out of the names of the wine. The staff were really nice and there were a lot of souvenirs available, as well.

The ocean spills out over the rocks. Is that how it got its name? Every view is a perfect picture. Rugged. Rough. Totally Newfoundland at its best.

A punt is like a rowboat, except made of spruce… while you watch in the shop upstairs. Downstairs are a series of displays on the various types of boats, what they’re used for and how things as technology changed

Absolutely fascinating. As they finish each boat, they raffle it off to pay for the museum. Yes, I bought a raffle ticket and yes, I have no idea how I’ll get it home to Massachusetts if I win

The whole experience is highly recommended

We dropped in here while we were in Twillingate. Nice little art gallery with one surprise piece! The artist is usually on site.

This is a great spot for a family hike. We did the shorter rock cut trail loop. Suggest walking it counter-clockwise. This allows you to leave the trail at the end and follow the coastline until you almost reach French beach. The very last arm to the water is an easy decent and you can go swimming in one of the elevated tidal pools that warm up in the sun during low tide. Our girls had a blast (14, 11). There are great rock formations for water level pictures. A must if in the area.

Beer was good. We had burgers and cod nuggets. The burgers were good. Cod nuggets were mostly batter and very little cod. I wouldn’t recommend the cod nuggets. Stick to the burgers.

This is a very interesting little museum, with some interesting artifacts I’d never seen before, and of course, the lovely young polar bear! The gift shop offers local handicrafts like hats, mittens and quilts, etc

We walked from the Long Point Lighthouse down to Sleepy Cove and then on to the Lower Head Trail going counter clock wise. The trail to Lower Head was steep at some points and the stairs do require some upkeep work. I would not trust the stair railings, as they appear to be very safe. It was much more difficult route than rating, but the hike to the point was definitely worth the risk. At the point, we were walking and we could hear the blowing of whales. Walking to the edge and looking down, we were greeted with a few whales below us breeching. It was the best view we had of whales during our 4 week trip on the island. The balance of the hike on the west side of the trail was relatively easy. Would advise people who wanted an easy hike to go clockwise to the point and return the same way. We ran into some people in sandals going this route, but definitely need hiking boots on the eastern half of the trail.

We hiked this in a counter clockwise direction so the Arch was a reward at the end of the hike. There was also a root cellar nearby,

We were so impressed with the care taken on these trails. Hats off to the men and women that kept them in amazing condition. My only disappointment about this trail was that the trees have grown so the view from the top is blocked. They need to add another platform! Beautiful walking through the woods...so much beautiful moss! Loved it.
