We checked the weather as soon as we arrived off the ferry at port aux basque and a storm was coming in for the weekend. We quickly changed our tour online to Friday at 3:00 and drove straight there. We were a bit short on time, so we decided to ride our bikes instead of walking the 3km to the boat dock. Took us 10 minutes and it was an easy ride. Gave us time to have a quick bowl of chowder which was delicious. The guides said they get maybe 3 days a year of perfect weather and today was one of them. 30 degrees, sunny and calm. Absolutely stunning!

Incredible geology and flora supported by absolutely fantastic park staff. They were incredibly educated, knowledgeable, informative and engaging. The park staff made the visit with their exhibits (pulled from their backpack) and clear explanations. Thanks!

Next time we’ll take the tour. This spot is so intriguing and fascinating I wanted to know more and have my questions answered.

The millions of layers of rock thrust up from the ground are wonderous and leave your imagination running wild.

    Don’t miss this.

Fascinating geological landmark, it’s probably best to go with a guide as they can explain the significance of these rocks and their formations. This site is 500M years old, geologists have discovered that these fossils define the boundary between the Cambrian and Ordovician periods, which pre dates the Jurassic period. Definitely worth a visit!
