Our tour guide was really knowledgeable of the history. His style like a teacher so we would remember and understand more.
    Very informative and fun

This was our first visit to Williamsburg. Lonnie was so knowledgeable and could answer any question. We did an incredible hour getting a deep dive into the history of the area and site. Would definitely recommend, as it’s a big place and we were only spending one day. Fantastic!

We had a really good time on this tour. It was SUPER cold, but Lexy kept it entertaining and told some fun (and scary) stories. It was a great addition to our time at Colonial Williamsburg.

Be aware that even though the hours are 9 to 5 daily, not everything is open onsite. Also note the taverns are not listed on TripAdvisor, and the hours are limited during off season. It is best to reserve a time at the Taverns at Colonial Williamsburg (check hours on line). Many of the eateries outside of Colonial Williamsburg are your standard fares, and are not great eats!

We visited from Oklahoma and had an amazing trip that far exceeded our expectations. If I would've tried to drive to DC and see the sights I might of found 2 or 3 in one day. John took us to almost everything you could think of. It was weel worth the price and next time I'm close i will look for more tours by Oleta tour and travel. We also had great travel companions David and Ruth Ann from Ohio.

This is a great location to stay if you are visiting Williamsburg, Yorktown, Gloucester and James town attractions.. The house is clean. The property is perfect for a dog that needs to play fetch or just likes to walk around. Because of the curves in the street, I recommend you watch the video the owner sends ..

Christmas Town was better in previous years. There are no more printed maps so if you like printed maps, you need to download the map from the website and print it before you arrive. It would be nice if the website included information on which shows will be available on which days. I buy my ticket in advance to take advantage of the flash sales. But I can't see which shows are running when so I can make sure to come on a day when the show I want to see is running. Of course, the "handling fee" for online tickets is ridiculous.

As others have mentioned, the park is very crowded and signs are few and far between. It is not easy to get from one show to another. It was also not easy to find a seat to eat my dinner at Festhaus. Soon it was showtime. They performed "Up on the Haustop", a medley of modern Christmas songs. (I was seated with a family of five. Would you believe that four of them were looking at their phones rather than watching the show? Two of the four were adults!) Outside the Festhaus is a large Christmas tree. Every half hour, the lights move in synch with the music. The show is called "O Tannenbaum".

I wanted to ride the Christmas Town Express train ride around the park to see the lights. There was something on the tracks and the train in front of me was delayed as a result. When the next train arrived, it took no passengers and went empty to the depot. (At least I had a seat while waiting.) The next train pulled in and I was able to board. But it waited in the station for 10 minutes without proceeding. When it proceeded, the ride itself was nice. But I missed a show that I had wanted to see because of the train delays.

When I first visited Christmas Town, it was much better.

PS If you get on Busch Gardens' email list, be prepared to receive multiple emails each day.

Cyndi was our private walking tour guide. She was great. She knows so much history and makes it interesting- dotted with unexpected curious, humorous tidbits. She was very sensitive to our wants and needs, and even helped with other reservations. I would highly recommend her.

We really liked our guide. They kept us engaged the entire tour. The storytelling was great. We sprung for the EMF detectors, so I think we had the most fun out of everyone.

Everything about this tour was outstanding. Our guide William was fantastic. I liked him immediately. His knowledge of Williamsburg was (and still is) extraordinary. He shared anecdotal stories that my wife and I found very interesting . Ask for him by name if you can. You won’t be disappointed.

Our tour guide Heather was very interesting. She shared past encounters and kept us wanting to see and hear more at the next home or stop. She related to all ages there.
The tour flew by. Would definitely recommend.

My friend and I didn’t stay with the group very long. The narrator was good but spent so long talking about the first building that we left the tour and wandered on our own

Too much walking without explanation. Also, the lack of WiFi and battery depletion on phones.
The app download process was not clearly explained
