What travellers are saying
- interviewtravelerWashington686 contributionsThe lake is beautiful, and the downtown Chelan area is fun and walkable. There were people around but not too many in the springtime.Written April 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MistayaChelan, WA1 contributionStaff is top notch: friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area. Scenery is beautiful, the Cascade mountains are breathtaking. If you go on a bluebird day in December or January you won’t regret it. Day trips are fine, but reserving a cabin in Stehekin in the off-season offers a special kind of remote family experience you can’t access many other places. Cozy up by the fire place with a good book or board game and have the best unplugged week of your life. Lots of core memories have been made in Stehekin!Written December 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - tumbleweedchrisRichland, WA1,025 contributionsSlidewaters is a small, but fun, regional waterpark in Central Washington. It contains about 12 slides, a surfing experience (upcharge), lazy river, and a couple pools. There are no duds in the slide lineup which has a decent variety. The day I went had minimal waits and was perfect, but I could see a busy day being rather chaotic given the small size of the park. I'd recommend setting up your towels on the grassy hill near the volleyball and lazy river area. It gets you a little ways away from the main traffic of the park. My favorite ride was the funky tube slide where you go down a series of dips with shallow pools between them. It's a fun game of tube pinball. You should be able to do everything though and all the slides have something fun about them. The food was good for a small park. I recommend the chicken tender basket as the burgers add on about 5-10 minutes to your wait as you have to wait for them to be grilled. This is a really wonderful waterpark that is worth taking a detour to check out. It is great on a lower traffic day, but I could see a busy day turning into a bit of chaos given the lack of queue structure and limited number of services.Written August 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - wuzfuzz08Kennewick, WA87 contributionsThere were 4 couples that stayed at the park. This park is Immaculate.!! Entire park is grass , with plenty of trees. All pads were asphalt and very level. Our campsite was about 50 ft or less from Columbia River . Restroom facilities were constantly cleaned. The entire staff we encountered were extremely friendly & helpful. Chelan is a 10 minute drive from the park. Wenatchee is about 30 minutes away. We will be returning next year for another visit. It is also very quiet.Written September 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Evelyn C1 contributionI love lake Chelan it’s like my second home. I go here every summer with family and friends the lake may be cold but you will get used to it! good to boat and fish and the best part is the milkshakes they have at the shop definitely recommend! if you have kids they will love the park, it has nets to play volley ball and a open space to play soccer! definitely come here! it’s worth the 3 hour drive from Seattle!Written July 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - wuzfuzz08Kennewick, WA87 contributionsWe ( brought brother /sister in-law from Oregon) spent 10 days in the Chelan area in RV's . Tsillan Cellars Winery was the 2nd Winery we visited. We were greeted immediately as we walked through the front door.
We did a flight sample of some spectacular wines. My sister-in law and myself bought several bottles when we left. We had a great time, great venue, view of the lake and staff as well. Tsillqn Estate Winery will be a winery we will return to in the future. They also have a dinner area as well. A must winery to visit !!Written September 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We also liked the drive in restaurant next door.Written April 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ABZBrazil477 contributionsPros
-amazing venue with gorgeous views
-reasonable prices
-decent Reds- order "CRU"
-friendly staff- smile, happy...
-delicious salads
Cons
-server did not time meals correctly... She brought my meal first while others who had pizza waited. Servers & Chefs need to time food correctly. I ended up eating alone while others waited for pizza. Plus I was still finishing my appetizers.
-server never once poured our wine. Might train servers to do this especially in such a fine dining venue
-need stronger and better umbrellas. Umbrella fell and almost hit one of the guests
-only two real food items- lamb and risotto... rest is pizza & salad... maybe add two -three more items- like a chicken, fish, and pastaWritten July 8, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The gardens and atmosphere are great.
My only feedback would be that we made reservations for Father’s Day brunch but there wasn’t much of a brunch menu - if anything that would be considered brunch. It seemed to be their regular lunch menu.
The flight of bubbles we had and the bonus pour that Bob shared was terrific.
They have a great shaded space and the bubbles were poppin’!Written July 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. While there we visited the Lake Chelan Historical Museum in downtown Chelan. What an absolute delight! We often visit smaller town museums and this one was truly exceptional. The volunteers and staff were very friendly and helpful. The exhibits were very well organized and easily viewed - everything was clearly labeled without being long and overly detailed. We especially enjoyed the large photo of an early elementary class some years back with almost everyone in the photo identified on an easily readable document on the wall. We loved this museum and highly recommend to anyone visiting Lake Chelan.
