What travellers are saying
- Jessica DJohnstown, PA367 contributionsVery well organized and thoughtful display of toys throughout the decades. Each room features something interactive to play with. Very apparent that the owners take a lot of pride in this place. We enjoyed our time there.Written December 2, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Meg5 contributionsNice museum. Ive always like to come here to see the museum and see the person making different pieces on occasion. I like seeing the different glass pieces that’s offered. I wish there more variety as well to the area. Like fostoria, Fenton, and other local glass companies and independent makersWritten May 13, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Diana KMaryland52 contributionsThis was a very interesting museum. Be sure to watch the film. You will learn how West Virginia acheived statehood.Written June 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Andrey NFlower Mound, TX3,635 contributionsIt was the largest suspension bridge in the world from 1849 until 1851. The Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the main channel of the Ohio River at Wheeling, West Virginia. The bridge was a very interesting engineering piece of history. We wanted to see the bridge but it was under renovation. They were doing bridge repair, so the bridge was closed to motor vehicles. We could only walk on one side of the street near the bridge and get some good pictures. Hope it reopens.Written July 25, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Vinnie TPittsburgh, PA122 contributionsI like this little zoo, it doesn't get as crazy as the Pittsburgh Zoo but it's enjoyable! One flaw I have is the Serval and the exhibit, the poor Serval's pacing and moving around like she's confused or scared, doesn't help it's near a very noisy playground though. Everything else is okay though.Written March 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Nature Freak8 contributionsUnique older building. Seats a little small and old. Enjoyed show very much. Ushers are friendly and helpful. However be aware that the streets in that area are all torn up. Expect delays in getting thru this area.Written March 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Nancy A240 contributionsThe Oglebay complex is just wonderful. There is something for everyone from museums and mansions to all sorts of physical activities from rock wall climbing to miniature golf, regular golf etc etc. It's a great place for families of all ages. I went to all the museums, gift shops, zoo and had a delicious lunch. Be sure to get a wrist band to cover the cost of all activities. I can' say enough good things.Written August 2, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Safari038301248691 contributionThe rooms at the Casino were on par with Motel 8 - no refrigerator, no coffee pot, chipped furniture, paper-thin quilt, no extra blankets. You get the idea. The food at the Buffet and the Food Court was outrageously over-priced and not very tasty. The casino was pretty good. The slots didn't eat your money, but paid-out on a fair basis and at least entertained you for a while. Best part of the trip was the bus ride!Written February 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Goingplaces1953111 contributionsBeautiful grounds! Loads of benches, picnic tables and activities. We were passing through on cross country drive and stopped to picnic. If this is an example of how Wheeling cares for it’s community, it is a hidden gem! Well worth the stop.Written June 4, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- 🥳 🎉 🥳 Keep Life Simple 🥳🎉🥳Pittsburgh, PA92,849 contributionsThis park is a nice walk along the Ohio River. There's plenty of benches to rest or eat a picnic lunch. - Shawn M73 contributionsMy wife added this to our list of places to check out and it was very cool. It is not just a shop they have some good historical displays as well.
The prices are reasonable for the locally made goods (no mad in china items that I noticed). There was glass, pottery, shirts, honey, syrup, bbq sauce, and much more all locally made. There was also a large selection of books about the area.
I would recommend stopping by for about 15-20 minutes.
The young lady working was nice and knew a ton about the area and we had a nice chat with her about how the town has been trying to reinvent itself.Written January 26, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
