Nice little local hill- affordable, well run with a well trained staff. Weeknight skiiing is a good option. Upper level bar and grill has a nice deck and view and pretty good food and beer on tap. Good hill to take a family/beginners to,

We often drove by the hatchery on our way to and from someplace else. This time we stopped and had a 1:00 tour. The education center has a lot of interactive displays that children would like. The 10 minute video provided lots of information about the work behind the scene that takes place. We were able to spend some time with the guide/educator who answered our questions and provided more information. We were able to buy feed ($.25) and feed some trout in the lower pond. A very peaceful setting.

We initially found Lauritzens Sport Shop while just ambling around through Wisconsin. I was reading and looked up to something to my husband and noticed it out the window. We were all excited, because it's our last name, too!

The owners were so welcoming as we talked about the origins of the Lauritzens. We picked up a few groceries, looked at the hunting and fishing supplies and clothing, and looked over the great stock of guns and ammunition.

We have been there four times, and hope if we ever break down we are close by, for there is an auto repair shop on the premises, too.

They were very friendly. Had free firewood which was awesome. We were there the weekend of State fair so we weren't able to ride horses. It's a huge place if you wanted to do something outside of your camping area you had to drive to it.

Not a friendly place if the elderly lady is bar tending! She selects her local people over the crowd! Had to get a local to order for use on 3 occasions.
