So much fun and learned a ton from our guides. Delicious fresh fruit provided and two trip in one, one in the uplands and pastures and the other down to the ocean with such amazing views. Highly recommended!!

Very comfortable helicopters that seat 6 people. They take their safety seriously. The views of the beaches, Waimea and Waipi’o Valley were amazing. The cost was a little pricey (relative to other helicopter tours I’ve taken). Still worth it (if you can afford it).

We absolutely loved this way to learn more about the island. I highly recommend this over a tour in a bus full of people. You can customize it to see what you want to see at the pace you want to see it. it was very informative, great directions, interesting stories, optional Hawaiian music in between info, and good restaurant suggestions along the way. And for the price, you can't get any better way to see and learn about the island. Will definitely use them again in other parts of the country.

Mica was a great guide as we rode through the ranch - he's very knowledgeable of the plant and animal life in the area. We rode Bucking Bronco and Malama and they were so well behaved and responsive to cues. We got to taste a bunch of tasty fresh fruit and take pictures along the ride. The only negative from the experience would be that the tour was advertised as "mountain to ocean" but it's really all mountain with ocean views. Still - everything was gorgeous.

The audio tour was very thorough and enjoyable. We really liked the history about the areas we visited. We liked that we were told when certain places were not worth the time it took to park and visit.

Everything about this experience was spectacular! Every person we met from the time we arrived to the time we departed was top notch! Our pilot Matt was exceptional! He was knowledgeable and attentive. He pointed out everything that we could’ve possibly wanted to see. With explanations of where and what we were looking at. He also has a great sense of humor! My fiancé and I got engaged at the waterfall. Matt happily pointed out that you do weddings too! Our ride met all of our expectations and we would definitely go again! This is the only way to really see some amazing parts of Hawaii!

We chose this tour randomly and we are so glad we did. Our guide Marcus was amazing- very knowledgeable on the entire island. The tour was close to 11 hours long but it seemed much shorter then that as it was so well presented by Marcus. We saw amazing scenery with very diverse landscapes. Food supplied was excellent and no shortage on cold water. Would highly recommended this tour to anyone. Thanks Marcus - we really enjoyed our day with you

By far the most useful tool for exploring the big island on your own (without a tour group). There were so many sights to see and suggested spots that we never would have known about, and it seems to be timed well so that you end up in Hilo by early evening. The narration that explained what you were looking at was great, and we loved the mood music.
Tip: Leave early. We started out from Kona at 9:30. We were done with Hilo by 6, and decided to have dinner there. But that meant driving back to Kona on dark, twisty mountain roads at night. Nerve wracking. If I were to do it again I’d listen to the apps recommendation and start by 8-8:30, finish with Hilo at 5. Pack a picnic dinner or get some kind of take out in Hilo, then continue on to Mauna Kea (which we had to skip.)

We have done many farm tours on several different islands over the years and this one was simply delightful! Susan, the host/owner was welcoming, knowledgeable, and a great communicator who shared not just about her farm and product, but also about the area’s history. We were able to see the plants at all stages of growth with minimal walking and comfortably sat for the presentation and tastings. The tastings were amazing and plentiful. We purchased products to create the recipes at home. Definitely worth the drive and time for this unique farm tour!

    Aloha -
We had an amazing time with Shawn. The communication before, during and after the day was what you would expect from a top tour company. He picked us up from our property and his car was comfortable for the 6 of us. He was very friendly and knowledgeable of the island.

We went on the 12+ hr full Island tour and this was beyond amazing. Shawn stopped to point out great places for photos and things to see far and away from the other tours and tourists. Starting with the Kona Coffee farm (we love coffee Kona Coffee and we got some amazing blends that we took home with us), to the Bakery, Black Sand Beach, Volcano National Park and so much more.

Shawn accommodated us above and beyond what we would expect as he adapted to all of the unique personalities we had to offer on this September day. We ate lunch that was picked up from the bakery and then off to some Waterfalls. The second to last stop was to the Waipio Valley just in time for sunset - unbelievable views! We were then treated to a great dinner above all expectations and then delivered back to our property safely.

The All Inclusive Big Island Circle Tour exceeded our expectations and delivered what we had hoped. Big Island Backroad Adventures is a must for what ever you would like to experience on the Big Island.

Ultra comfortable ride to the eastern side of the island. Shawn was extremely knowledgeable and informative on the geography and history or the island. This tour took us to places we might not have found on our own. We visited waterfalls and gardens as Shawn provided great commentary on local legends and traditions. We even stopped at a local food stand for awesome Ahi wraps.
Highly highly recommend Big Island Backroad Adventures!

I was super blessed and grateful to learn about Bird and Bee Hawai'i. I took a month long bee keeping class with Susan and learned so so much. For decades i have wanted to learn how to keep bees and after my four weeks I feel like an informed confident novice! I appreciated the basics about bees and getting supervised instruction on getting into the hives, identifying the queen, and knowing what to look out for long term in the hives. The small group made it easy to connect to Susan and others. Great class and value!!! mahalo nui loa Susan for your leadership and inspiring more bee keeping here on Moku o Keawe.
