What? You have never been to the Exploratorium? Or "Explo" as the cool kids call it? It's budget-friendly and has something to offer, even those folks who think "what's that? Is it 'science' or some such?" Yeah, even you! Make your way there on public transit or your two feet. Right there on the bay with the bridge in the background? Come on! Do it. No, really. Do it!
This is the city's major artery, although traffic control policies make it confusing as to which vehicles can use it. I just walk and it is practical for connecting many neighborhoods. Part of the street has grand architecture, part is boring. And as you go west you pass through residential areas and end up on top of Twin Peaks where the views are supert.
Because I was alone and not with a tour group, this was more of a shopping experience than anything else. That said, it was interesting to see two ladies working and note the alleyway where the shop is lactated. Fresh fortune cookies taste good!
That’s what the sign says. While the sticks-and-bricks is closing, the online store continues to be available. The proprietor is very friendly. If you enjoy environments with lots color, you will most certainly enjoy this space. There is a lot of interesting merchandise available here.
Christmas ideas . Affordable. A little of traveling with your mind once you are at Xela! Lovely atmosphere. Great selection of incense, palo santo etc. The jewelry is so different from what you see around. Thank you .
This was our "go to" place for breakfast and lunch when staying at Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco. The food was always excellent although it could get extremely busy. We ate lots of items from the menu and all were consistently good. Mid range prices.
Assuming "Downtown" is the Union Square area and Market Street, it is a busy area with high-end shopping both boutiques and impressive malls, along with restaurants and entertainment options. Homeless are everywhere but I suppose this is part of the San Francisco experience. There are much more interesting parts of the city to explore.
The team here provides a very personal level of customer service considering the size and inventory of their store they give you the feel like you're in a small shop.Very helpful.👍🏾👍🏾✌️😎
Very sad to see most businesses closed. There were only two restaurants open. The rest was all shut down, boarded up. You could so so much with it. Had chowder at The Chowder House, good.
I love a great old used bookstore and Green Apple is exactly one of those. Their main store is on Clement and their newer one is on 9th Ave. Although both have a very different feel from each other, both are great to browse, get lost in stories, and buy from.
