I highly recommend Best Bay Area Tours, and the trip to Yosemite and the Redwood/Kendall-Jackson Winery. I signed up for the Yosemite tour because I’d had such a positive experience with their Sonoma 4-Course Winery Lunch and Giant Redwoods tour. Just like the first, this tour was kept small with only about a dozen people. Phil was our outstanding guide for both tours, and I would strongly recommend asking for him if you can. He’s an absolute natural at his job, and is very personable, well informed, and professional. He took the time to get to know each of us. On both tours, Phil identified key sites in San Francisco, on the way to Yosemite and in the park. In each case he gave us the historical significance and context of the area. The Kendal-Jackson experience was excellent, and came as a surprise. I love wine but haven’t always loved the Kendal-Jackson wines I find in the store, but their on-site selection was exceptional. The pairing meal was delicious, the portions significant and the wines paired beautifully with the meal. The chef was very accommodating for those with special dietary needs. As with the Armstrong Redwood Forest, Phil explained the historical background and significance of Yosemite. While exploring the park we were given time to sightsee and take pictures. Telescopes were provided at El Capitan so that we could observe the mountain climbers. We were never rushed. If you would like a memorable and professional experience, this is the company to use.
