Beautiful church, and a great stop to relax and bask in the beauty and soft organ music. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area.

As I was walking by the Old South Church, I was cold in the Boston winter and curious about what I'd find inside the doors. The OSC is an architectural treasure, but even better than that, it was quiet ... and peaceful. You should go for the beams and the height and the light, but do stay long enough to appreciate the serenity the space offers.

This English style Church stands right in Boston center, across the Boston Common park. It dates back to early 19 c.
During our three days in Boston we passed it every day and it was always closed, so we could only see the exterior and the next door Granary graveyard which is the final resting place for great figures of the American revolution.

Visiting the area and came across this place by accident. Great restoration job and great piece of Jewish/American/Boston history.

My husband and I are an interfaith couple and we were searching rather unsuccessfully for a ceremony venue that we found both meaningful religiously and beautiful aesthetically that would also accommodate our interfaith ceremony, not to mention all of our guests. The staff at Emmanuel Church went above and beyond to make our day special. I can't explain in the limited space provided here all the work they did to give us what we needed. From the beginning planning stages down to the wedding day itself, our wedding was everything we dreamed it would be. Our ceremony was held in the main sanctuary. The acoustics were beautiful and the space was perfect for our rather large number of guests, as well as our large bridal party. Thank you to Tamra, Janice, Pam, Devon, all the sextons, and everyone who helped make our day special!

This was an interesting look see. The outside is beautifully decorated and maintained. If it’s open it’s worth a look inside. Lots to see especially if you have an interest in saints and religious items. The man who owns it is sweet and very excited to show it off. It’s also in a beautiful neighborhood in the city.

I have been going to ISKCON temples my whole life around the world. I have to say the Boston temple is very special. The atmosphere is a family environment, very welcoming to everyone! The Sunday and Wednesday programs are incredible with delicious vegetarian free feasts! In the heart of the city (by Copley square) its a beautiful location!
