Note that this is located in the wrong place on Trip Advisor. It’s a great venue for activities and for people that enjoy sports.

This is the highly controversial ice rink that is known as the Trump or the Woolman Rink. Believe many of the workers did not get paid.

Took the NY Bar Exam in this location. It was very spacious. Despite how many people where there, did not feel too hot nor too cold.

We booked to go ice skating before our trip, was easy to book.
We had booked for 7pm, but I had expected a better signposted / well-lit path in Central Park. Myself and daughter had to use google maps to find it!

I had noticed about an hour before we went that you had to sign a waiver, would be better if this was emailed out to anyone who has purchased tickets.

I had deliberately not taken a bag so we wouldn't need a locker, but they don't store your shoes when they give you your skates - you have to get a locker which cost $7!!

It wasn't busy and I had seen the ice cut schedule was 7.30pm but this didn't happen!

I fell and seriously hurt my shoulder (which I know is a risk) but no staff came to help me at all. As it continued to hurt I went to an office to ask if I could have an ice pack for my shoulder, I was taken to a room (right opposite where I fell ) where the girl said oh are you the lady that just fell over! She didn't even look at my shoulder, gave me some ice in a glove and some packets of ibruprofen. The next day I realised the expiry date on them was 07/23!!

Maybe not the best place to skate, but it was bigger than Bryant Park and not everywhere was open during our visit.

Had a great experience here. We are on a trip to NYC and decided to do a little climbing before we caught our train home. Gym staff were super friendly, gave us a quick tour and were around if we needed anything. Gym itself is great. Really clean, well set up, and they even have bins of chalk available which was great, since we didn’t bring any. They were re-setting one wall when we were there but that still left us with lots to climb. Excellent variety in routes too, some nice easy ones to make me feel good about myself and a great selection of harder routes to choose from. Would absolutely recommend stopping by!

It really is a wonderful park with great views and lots of things to do. However, it sits on top of a sewer treatment plant and sometimes you get a whiff of that smell. It is on the river so you do get a breeze to cut down on any smell.

A great place to ice skate in the city. Rentals possible
Great place for a party. Can handle a large group in a comfortable lounge with very good Italian fare. Chicken and pasta!
Tournament was well organized and supervised
    A professional organization.

I wish I could upload a picture of this beautiful building near the East River. For $75 a year or $10 a year for seniors (62+) you have access to a gym, pool, lockers, showers & different classes every day for free.

Save yourself a lot of wasted time and bring a padlock with you! Wish we knew this before we arrived as you are promptly sent away if you don’t have one. Even if you arrive in just swim shorts and shoes as you have to put your shoes in a locker. We saw one guy turned away whose only personal possession was a wallet because he didn’t have a padlock. If you don’t bring one with you expect a ten minute round trip and a $5 outlay on a padlock if you want to enter. Security is strict!

There’s nothing except a towel allowed by the pool so don’t expect to be able to read a book or listen to music etc. The lifeguards are also very strict - there’s lots of ‘rules’.

On the plus side it’s a nice pool to cool down in the hot sun and it’s free!
