I have followed the Met Opera since 2004 and have seen its evolution in a 20-year span. The theater is magnificent and the incorporation of contemporary opera under Yannick's vision has been superb. For those who cannot attend yet, I highly recommend the Met HD recordings - they do get all the possible close-ups you may miss, even from the Grand Tier and Parterre seats. Despite the bleacher-style seating, we were extremely comfortable and had a great view of the stage and orchestra pit.
