I previously had stayed in one like it in Europe and had a very bad experience. At first I was hesitant given the pervious experience. I was however very impressed by the place and would definitely stay again. The only room for improvement I found was, upon entry to the room the code is very loud, the motion sensor lights I found annoying and I usually enjoy a blanket to sleep so I found it hard to sleep with a bedsheet. Staying in a room with other people, I was hesitant to be worried about my belongings however, I found everyone kept them selves, nobody bothered anyone and never had an issue with internal noise from the property in regards to staying up at night. Of course, being in Manhattan expect there to be exterior noise from cars passing by and people and such. The property is in the process of being renovated as of this writing however, it did not make any problems for me.

Having been refused entry into the nearby Air France Lounge by a rather officious, stuck up lady at their front desk (lounge too full apparently), my son & I tried our luck with our Priority Pass at the Turkish Airline Lounge.

No such problems here. We were warmly welcomed even though we were flying with Swiss. We were soon nicely settled into a windowed corner with comfortable sofas, a free WiFi and sufficient free snacks and drinks to keep us going until out transatlantic flight was ready for boarding. We particularly liked the pizza slices which were very popular with many other guests as well. All good!

As with the other reviewers here, we did find it crowded when we first arrived in late afternoon. But we had a long layover and by early evening (6:30, 7:00), there was plenty of room and the Lounge was very restful. Staff throughout our stay was very friendly and very professional. Restrooms were impeccable (staff member cleaning the areas (in several hours, we went three times and there was a cleaning person there each time). Complementary food was perfectly acceptable buffet style and wine was gratis with tip appreciated. We used a card to get in for free. Easy to recommend the service here.

Dined at La Grand Comptoir food was ok but the staff was a skeleton crew and with a glass of red wine at $30 they should be able to at least hire someone to bus tables. Wine glasses were dirty stained eventually cleaned ourselves. Self service for silverware, high end camping experience
