First time to see the Rockettes, we read to arrive an hour early, and I can understand why, ( the crowds, and TRAFFIC).
We even stayed n Mid Manhattan, but badly made it on time.
    Wow the production.
It was spectacular. ALL the way though!
I wish we didn’t live an the west coast, I would go every year!!!
It was worth every dollars we paid!
It will get you in the mode for Christmas, 🎅 for sure.

As a New Yorker, the Thanksgiving Day parade is an important family tradition. You take your kids, they invite out of town friends, they take their kids, etc. People come from all over the world to see the floats and balloons.enjoy the performances, and just be showered with joy. The staff that works on putting the parade together do an inspiring job as there are so many people to outfit. This is a wonderful place to be if you are in New York during the holiday season.

Thousands upon thousands lined the streets to watch thousands of costumed locals and visitors parade through the Village. There were floats. There were bands. There were costumes that left little to the imagination and some that raised far too many questions. You need to get there EARLY if you want to be able to see, and there's no place to rest your tired feet.

Despite the gloomy weather a lot of people turned out to this annual event. Good humoured and slightly bonkers!

Check-in is super easy and quick. This event is really only fun if you have a panel or 2 to attend or have a really hardcore and diverse interest in multiple media franchises. Otherwise you’ll end up like me last year and end up just walking around doing nothing and leave unfulfilled and feel like you wasted your money. This year I went on Thursday and there was plenty to do. Could be because covid restrictions are mostly gone but… yeah it’s great. People are super nice, too

Bucket list experience which is doable despite the hype about the cold. Expect to wait long hours.... the further back you are from the main square... the less of a party vibe and view of the ball itself... so try to get there early. The process to get in is also haphazard.

If you experienced a caribbean carnival... the ball drop will be underwhelming lol

Tribeca festival pretends to be open and accessible with fans but it's just not true. At least not anymore. They act like elitists and fans are just little peons to them, not worth any time or effort. I did not have a great experience at the festival and it felt like being a fan of RD was this huge no-no. i've had friends who have worked there who have said the same. MOST come to the festival because of RD!?

Before I went to the festival this year, I didn't get a response with a few simple questions. I emailed again and the person who answered a week later seemed annoyed. Won't be going again

I liked the way everything was efficiently laid out and mostly in the shade. There was a huge variety of traditional fair food (from ice cream, blooming onions, fried dough and spedies to fresh lemonade and smoothies) and all sorts of vendors and entertainment. I paid the additional $5 to park at BCCC and ride the shuttle over. This was very convenient and we had no wait coming or going. I would make this an annual tradition.

This holiday market was decent. My biggest complaints were that it was seriously a maze in a tiny area to get around to all of the sales booths. It was super hard to navigate and tell which ones you’ve been to and which ones you haven’t seen yet. That brings me to the next complaint, the booths just kept seeming to be multiple repeats of booths I had previously saw earlier in the market. It was like all of the booths had doubles, some triples. I think that aided in the confusion of my navigation of the market. The food court area seemed nice, but I had an appointment to get to and didn’t have time to try anything. I’d go again if there was a bit more variety in the types of booths/merchants at the market.

This year the festival was moved to Whitney Pond Park, LI. Parking and shuttle bus were easy and comfortable. The festival itself was OK. What I was mostly missing was some dynamic lights. Almost all the attractions were static illuminated sculptures. I think it is much more suitable for adults, which will enjoy the art. the kids just fast walk through all of it. Price-wise it is a bit expensive for the experience.
