- I WLeicestershire, UK346 contributionsWe booked the top of the rock for 7.00 on a Monday evening. Queuing to get in was simple and efficient. No problems going up to the lower viewing platform. There's a cafe to buy food and drink if you want. No problems going up to the top viewing platform. It was fairly busy, but you could get to the edge and take in the view, with a bit of patience. Top of the Rock gives great views of the empire state, central Park and the south of Manhattan island. Highly recommended. There are plenty of places to get something to eat in the Rockerfeller centre.Written June 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Thomas VOakland, CA17,517 contributionsThis famous street cuts across Manhattan and also transports you to many neighborhoods. An important subway line runs under it. Parts of it have been transformed into little parks. Famous for the bright lights of the theater district, but you will find so much more along this long street. Take a long walk.Written August 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Thomas VOakland, CA17,517 contributionsOne of my favorite neighborhoods in Manhattan because of the excellent urban design. It was built as a new town in the middle of the city during the Depression. Risky plan, but it worked out eventually as the buidlings are so beautiful, the location so superb. Arrange for a guided tour to understand all of the details, some of which you might miss on a casual visit. Fountains, art deco, sculpture, decorations, soaring skyscrapers, plus some good good and drink. Great area.Written August 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- VRomeijnAmsterdam, The Netherlands170 contributionsAs big fans of modern art, we were looking forward to visiting the MoMA. The MoMA has a huge collection featuring many of the most well known works of modern art, and you will definitely encounter familiar sights within a few minutes of entering; among (many) others, during our visit we viewed works by Warhol, Liechtenstein, Van Gogh and Picasso. We were lucky enough to visit several very interesting exhibitions. I really liked the "Crafting Modernity: Design in Latin America"-exhibition, which featured a wide array of modernist posters, but also furniture and household appliances created by Latin American artists between 1940 and 1980. Since I am very interested in Expressionist art, I was also glad that we were able to visit the Kathe Kollwitz-exhibition, which as people familiar with her work will understand was an interesting but also emotionally loaded experience. The MoMA obviously is a very large museum and you have to know in advance that in a few hours, you will only be able to explore a certain percentage of the museum. Even so, a definite must for anyone who likes modern art.Written September 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - delfinacuario2000Buenos Aires, Argentina640 contributionsSaw it in November with the ice skating rink and the christmas fair, and now in summer full of sun and beautiful flowers. Either way, I just love it! Always crowded but big enough to enjoy every corner, relax, take a bite, or take some photos!Written August 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - parrottdizeDyer, IN2,375 contributionsWe were lucky that our cruise ship docked in Manhattan, right next to the Intrepid museum. A very easy walk!
It is open everyday, weekdays 10 to 5 and weekends 10 to 6 in the summer. Tickets are $36....$34 (seniors) PP. If you are veteran it is free (do bring a valid ID , such as VA or something that shows your are a veteran). There are some tours that are extra $.

- Eva TUnited Kingdom4,422 contributionsOur first visit to NYC and we found it on the second day of our stay. The main entry from Herald Square had fab decoration and on the pavement was plaque commemorating centennial of the shop. The windows on W 34th St made me curious what I can find inside and it was a lot. On this side of the beautiful building (I loved it) we found plaque commemorating the beginning of motion pictures in April 1896! It's huge, the goods were priced OK, some more expensive than others but I think everybody could find something. Next time in NYC I will take bigger luggage and visit it again.Written July 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It was spectacular. ALL the way though!
I wish we didn’t live an the west coast, I would go every year!!!

Itreally is prettyv cheesy, but there has been some effort put into grouping the celebrities and present them thematically. There is also a 10 minute Marvel Universe 4D movie which is entertaining enough.Written March 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
