Woke up with jet lag and was staying near Times Square which is close to the start of The High Line. It was a lovely early morning walk even if some of it was closed off for maintenance until the summer (I guess). We started in Hudson Yards and ended up in Chelsea and the Little Island which was a nice surprise. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed the 9/11 workshop museum. It was very well put together and humbling. The staff were excellent and we highly recommend adding this experience to your trip

Definitely a tourist activity that is a must do in NYC if you know the show Friends. Of course, it is just a facade and not their “real” apartment, but fun to see.

Great museum, if you like Edward Hopper this is the place to go. The architecture location are beautiful also, right at the end of High Line. I just felt they could give more space to the permanent collection and not just one floor.

We were at Chelsea Market and walked over to Little Island afterwards. Wish we would've thought to bring our lunch over there. It's a really cool man-made island with an historical connection to the Titanic. There is an amphitheater were you can sit and relax. Not sure if they have shows there or what it is used for. It was also nice to find some decent public bathrooms there. Great views of the west side of Manhattan and the Hudson River. Very close to the Whitney Museum, Chelsea and Meatpacking District.

West Village is a charming and vibrant neighborhood with great restaurants, cozy cafes, and an overall relaxed vibe. It’s a must-see if you have 5 or more days in NYC, or after you've explored nearby spots like Chelsea Market. The tree-lined streets, quaint boutiques, and excellent dining options make it a perfect place to wander and soak in the atmosphere. Whether you're grabbing a bite or just enjoying the sights, West Village is definitely worth the visit.

The Hudson River Park now has a beach, and it’s the cutest little beach you will ever see. It’s clean and spacious. Of course, swimming is not allowed, but the river is there, and the view is magnificent—you can even see Lady Liberty from there! It’s close to Little Island and a must-see when walking the various piers until you reach the High Line.

Fun place to spend an hour. It was the perfect place for to visit with my teenage sun who loves puzzles and illusions. Small space but it wasn't crowded, the staff was very friendly and we really enjoyed our time there.

Pier 45 is a very long pier with a great view of the skyline. There weren’t many people there when I went, and it can be quite windy, but there is a great view of New Jersey as well as the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.

This is a branch of the New York Public Library. What makes it worth visiting is that it looks like it had been a church in the past. The outside looks like a church and inside there is an interesting winding staircase with some pretty stained-glass windows. This is not really worth going out of your way to see, but if you are in the area, it is worth stepping inside for a few minutes.

When visiting the Stonewall Inn there is a nice monument opposite which offers some information to the LGBT movement in NYC. There is also a nice small museum next to the Stonewall Inn well worth a trip inside.

A wonderful little park, not too busy so I found myself a bench and sat down to read, enjoyed the sound of the pond. Very well maintained, a true oasis
