- TLL20 contributionsWe visited the park in the evening time for a family stroll. The fountain is so beautiful and peaceful…and a perfect spot for photos! It was really nice to see it lit up at night. There is free parking near the tennis courts. We saw a lot of small children playing at the playground. There is plenty of open areas to picnic or relax. Walking distance to more historic sites. Would love to visit again in the future for one of the Saturday markets or festivals. Our driver with aviator was fun and knowledgeable. Being driven allows you to get to the points of interest faster while learning of other details while en route. Finally stopped in for lunch and got seated right away. Our waitress was very helpful and so friendly. She recommend the fried green tomatoes and they were delicious. Chicken fried chicken was good and the buffalo shrimp tacos were delicious.

It was an incredibly sombre experience but at the same time, insightful and educational on the history of the house and its occupants, but also on Georgia. We spent ages looking at all of the exhibits and learning more about prohibition than I thought possible.
