You can find every T-shirt, knickknack, or beads conceivable. Just expect heavy commercialism. If you are lucky, you can run into street musicians or performers.

This place is both amazing and a little shocking. They sell super-high-end antiques and art. I mean, they had a Magritte for about $10 million. But they aren't snooty and we came in casually dressed and spent over an hour there. Think of it as a really nice museum where you could buy stuff if you are very rich. It feels a little strange seeing price tags on antiquities and legendary art, but really a must visit if you like this kind of stuff.

Great place to shop! First, most vendors at the Market seem to decide on their prices after they check you out, size you up. Not so with Hasan. His prices are clearly marked, very fair, and he is a very honest person. He was very patient with us while we shopped and asked lots of questions. He was in no hurry to rush us into a sale, and the way he worked with us made us feel good about the purchase we did make. When we visit NOLA again, we will be sure to stop and shop here again. When visiting the FQ (which is about 2x a year for us), we always take the time to go to Frenchmen Street. Walking through this quaint area, set up with local wares and artists is a nice distraction from the noisy streets. You can walk to Frenchmen or just uber there and spend a few hours in the area. Visit the local restaurants, bars and of course the Art Market. Folks are friendly and not normally "drunk". People watching is awesome and you will see this is a place where the locals like to go. Pick up something unique here and just enjoy the slower pace.

A bit off this beaten path for most out of town visitors, this museum exhibits powerful works that amplify the black experience in America. Some of the pieces exhibited were created as part of a Covid-era student program. There is also a large exhibit of the works of founder Brandan BMike Odums. The space itself, an uninsulated warehouse that was massively leaking from the rainstorm when we were there, is part of the experience.

I finally have this beauty with me. For years I have been lingering around your paintings @tanner_gallery visiting New Orleans, and dreaming about your beautiful art. I’ve been obsessed with this piece in particular.
I am very happy about how fast it was shipped. The personalized attention, and having the pleasure of chatting with the artist and Finn, the gallery director, it was just perfect.
We will be back like we always do and I am looking forward to buying more art in the future.

I have bought 5 - 6 pieces of jewelry and some vintage sunglasses for my daughter and wife over the last few years! Everything is real and at a great deal. I just spoke with them today to check on their inventory for a Christmas gift for my daughter!

I hadn't been here for a number of years and so many cute shops are gone. There's no food court any longer, and only a few shops. It used to be a bustling place to window shop and snack...

George Rodrigue Studios on Royal Street is great. If you are not familiar with his work, look it up. I have a couple of his artworks and if you want to see more, visit the Blue Dog Café in Lafayette, LA, awesome food and you see all his original works of the walls of the café.

Today I had a phenomenal reading with MiMi, she helped me gain perspective on several areas of my life where I sought clarification. She was incredibly professional and knowledgeable in all the areas of my life we delved into. I appreciate her guidance and highly recommend her and strongly urge everyone to seek her out when clarification is needed.

We visited so many galleries during our week in NOLA, this was one of our favorites. Jamie really took her time to understand what we were interested in.
Lots of reasonable priced local contemporary art to be found here.

Friends of ours, frequent customers of this elegant gallery, told us to check it out several years ago, although undoubtedly they knew we would likely never be able to effort buying one of these beautiful, colorful, New Orleans-themed paintings, besides would not have enough space in our house for them. But, we go back there every time we are in NOLA anyway just to enjoy looking at these fine works of art.
