Great walking path, dog park area for large and small dogs to run, skate park, restrooms, ample parking, etc. Swift-Cantrell Park is very popular and a perfect place for all ages.

Delightful and very informative visit to Kennesaw Battlefield museum, tour guide talks, walking trails throughout the vast park and one can see Stone Mountain from the top of one of the trails.
Kennesaw mountain national park is awesome they have picnic tables it's well maintained and the hiking trails well marked, somewhat strenuous if you haven't hiked in a while but worth it, I personally like it best...

I had the pleasure of bringing my 6 year old twin niece and nephew to the Smith Gilbert Gardens where they learned about nature from wonderful caring park personnel.
Later in the day we visited the Kinnesaw National Battleground Memorial Park where they payed tribute to the 9/11 victims.

Cauble Park is a wonderful place - complete with a beach, hiking trails, kayak launch, piers for fishing, grass to sit or put your chair up and read... and a gorgeous environment.
This lakeside park has a terrific playground, a boat launch (non motorized boats only on this section of the lake) with decent parking, a nice grassy lawn area and good water walkway area that leads to hiking trails.
