Such a beautiful experience! The glass is amazing - photos do not do it justice. The scale of some of these creations is mind-boggling. Definitely worth a visit!

These are wonderful markets that should definitely be on your list to see while in Seattle. There are so many different market stalls, food options and interesting people to see. This gets super busy though, and I would recommend going on a weekday as opposed to the weekend. One of may favorite things to see at the markets were the flower stalls....so many beautiful flowers (and if you go to the markets walk a little further along and check out Seattle's Gum Wall....gross and amazing.) The thing about these markets is that you can take turn, after turn, and not quite know where you are going to end up walking as these markets are huge and with so many interesting stalls to see (I even had a belt custom made as we waited which was a fun thing to do a good souvenir for me from Seattle). By the way I don't know that this would be a super fun activity with small children, unless you get there first thing in the morning before it gets too busy, otherwise I think it could be overwhelming for them, and they would only see a "sea of legs" (something to consider.)

Pikes market resembles open markets in China, Israel various cities in Europe. It is a Landmark that is thankfully preserved for future generations to experience in America; besides the fruit and many flower stands, it is worth going downstairs to the small Asian stores.

We were lucky enough to be in Seattle on a Sunday and headed to the Ballard Farmer’s Market shortly after 10am. We had a wonderful experience!

The Market is large and features vendors selling produce from the Pacific NW. It had a wonderful selection of fruits, vegetables, meats, seafoods, etc., from passionate vendors. There were also great places to grab a bite to eat: pastries, tacos, crepes, etc. And there were a few vendors selling handmade items. The market avoided any sense of a junky flea market; the vendors were of high-quality and the stalls were very well-organized.

Parking was a bit of a challenge, but not overwhelming; just be prepared to circle a bit and be willing to walk a couple of blocks once parked. Crowds on an October morning were not overwhelming; we were able to have distance from other market-goers.

While in the area, check out the cool shops and restaurants along Ballard Ave. Highly recommended!

We’ve come to University Village a couple times now and every time we find it takes so long to find an open parking spot.

However when we do finally get out of the car University Village was a nicely laid out and pretty collection of shops (chains and little boutiques) and restaurants. Probably one of the nicest outdoor malls we’ve visited. It has always been quite a lively place to visit with lots of outdoor seating to hang or enjoy some ice cream or boba tea. A covered kiddie play area was entertaining for a number of families. Pets were welcome in addition to humans.

Visited and shopped here twice during our stay in Seattle. Mostly high end shops but you can get a bargain. Toilets and restaurant on the fourth floor, toilets were very clean.

Mall not that big. With several shops. A food court. Link to the monorail. Activities provided outside, at the west lake park. Starbucks inside. Place to leisure.

This 4 or 5 story shopping center/mall was clean but quiet on this Tuesday evening. The number of floors depends on how one counts the basement and a topmost section that appears to connect to a movie theatre. A wide variety of shops featured, jewelry, luggage, clothing and more. There were several restaurants of various types. There were several long tables where people could create their own laptop work station. The escalators were in good order. The high atrium design was accentuated by today's bright sun light. Several large murals were featured. Overall it had a pleasant but slightly haunted atmosphere.

Nordstrom rack consists of many brand names that offer shoes, clothes, and accessories. All are cheap and cute clothes , clothes can be found for all ages for teenagers to elders. Always good finds here. Only issue was dressing room. There was many dressing rooms , but left to be operated by customers, each room had clothes left form previous users.

It was nearly the end of our visit to Pike Place Market, and I wanted to buy some "Rainier" cherries to take back to our hotel room for snacking. A saleslady at Saragraphics T-shirt booth recommended Sosio's for the best cherries. We had no trouble finding "Sosio's" and after a sample, we bought a pound for $10. The price was high, but the cherries were excellent.

What a blast! Going up and down the street, you find all kinds of fantastic food, drink, and a few miscellaneous items. There is parking provided with a donation requested, but if that's full you may have to walk a bit of a distance.

You absolutely should come here if you have the opportunity.

Nothing special about this food court. There is a varitey of food so the whole family should be able to find something. If you are not sure, then the Greek Kitchen is pretty good.
