They have zipped before, however told us that this was their favorite. Great staff, safety-conscious, and uncrowded zips. They take you up the mountain in a cart, they you zip down the mountain in 7 lines. My husband and I were looking for a great place to take our mini moon with fun activities to do and Appalachian Adventures made it amazing. Starting with our stay at the River cabin, beautiful, cozy and private, it has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. We did the 2 hour ATV tour, our guide Joshua took us through the process, made sure we felt safe, and then made it the most fun time ever! Targeting with Tom was such an awesome experience. As first timers all of our instructors made sure we knew what we were doing, felt safe and also had an incredible super fun experience. Free lockers for your pocket contents, shaded spots for spectators to sit, and a no-pressure vibe in general. Are you a tall 5yo who got a little panicky on a particularly wiggly section? A mom on the ground will instruct her kid to come help you. Are you a fat lady who found a single triangular route you’re comfortable with, and otherwise want to swing your harness over to one of the handy out-of-the-way dead ends and just watch your kid have fun? Go for it. Are you a preschooler? There’s a level for you, too, within arm’s reach of your grownup. He spoke about the ego systems and the affects it had on the environment. I would go back again for another tour. There is so much to see and learn.
