Very good tour. Great narrative by Stefano. Kept everyone safe and directed. We had a member of our group get lost. Stefano found him and got him back with group.
Had a lovely day out with Bob - we were unable to visit any vineyards as it was a Sunday and they were closed but Bob helpfully told us this in advance and even offered alternate dates. Bob is well organised, kind and friendly. Has the best recommendations for food. Thanks again Bob!
Excellent six days' cycling from Lecce with a circular inland and along coast to Gallipoli. GPS navigation very good and lots of opportunities to experience the culture of Puglia as well as take a rest over lunch or enjoy a swim. We are both over seventy ,and though challenging at times , with reasonable level of fitness, we managed the average of 40 miles approx cycling per day . Accommodation throughout was excellent, attentive hosts on hand, plus an excellent briefing before we set out. Salento Bici Tours provided excellent bikes, advice and support throughout our trip.
We were 9 people on holiday trip. The crew treated us very nice and discrete. We were offered plenty of refreshments and drinks both for kids and grownups. The boat was very clean and spacious. Lots of time to swim and work on the tan. The sun was quite strong on the ocean, so it was good that we brought sun screen.
We spent a couple of hours in Gallipoli with Francesca, a native of the town, who took us all over the old town telling us about the history and the people and the way of life in Gallipoli. I especially loved all of the stories about the saints that are important in the town culture, the churches of the brotherhoods, etc. And she gave us a wonderful recommendation for lunch.
The trip was a culmination due to the dedicated guide Vito. Interpreting history facts in the cultural and geopolitical context of the time made the trip exceptional. The marvelous Baroc architecture impressed us with the help of Vito. Highly recommended experience!
Lecce and Gallipoli are a must visit place in southern Italy. The drive is beautiful. The trip with Green Italy Tours was amazing, extremely helpful organizer, Gio; very warm guide, Maria and driver Valentino and Flavio. The lunch offered is one of the best seafood I’ve had in Italy.
If you want a small group tour of Pulglia, this is it!! This is for history buffs AND foodies! Gaetano, our driver/guide, was very knowlegeable and organized. Our experiences were varied (historical, working farms, cooking demos, delicious restaurants). We only had 4 people on our tour and luckily we became new friends. Great local guides. The only downside, since we were only 4, we sat 3 across in the back seat...a bit uncomfortable. I would HIGHLY recommend!!!
Stefano made our day. This was like a personalized tour into the heel of the boot. What a day!!! Highly recommend, don't hesitate. Picked up in Lecce and toured down the Adriatic Coast, to the most southerly point and back up the Ionic coast in time to catch a magical sunset in Gallipoli. With a
