Super famous monument. Some areas are charged but this part of the wall is free to view. Parking to be paid for. Toilets in car park.
    Very muddy and slippery

We met our tour guide here and liked it so much we went back later with family. The walk and scenery are great but coffee and banana bread add to the experience. A lovely friendly lady has a van from which she serves delicious cakes and drinks. Sitting by the small lake eating the best banana bread and sipping coffee was just perfect.

I attended for a party. It's a bit rugged here - it feels like an abandoned boarding school - but the building is beautiful and the landscape incredible. It's also quite nice to be able to hold a party here and not worry too much that someone will spill a glass of wine. Owner is very friendly and flexible. Nice kitchen. Fascinating rabbit warren of a house to wander around.

A great walk through the woods, lots of wildlife to be seen and heard. I walked from Haltwhistle to the Milecastle Inn - a three hour walk. Recommended.

I always call this Hatlwhistle Lido as that's what it is to my mind. The heated pools are great with a (relatively tame) slide for bigger kids and a smaller one too.

There's a grassed area that's perfect for chilling out on after a swim, plus a playground. The cafe is very much 'chips and pop', so I always take food and with me.

Take a picnic blanket and make a day of it!

Beautiful honey from an impressive local business. So many products to choose from. Recommended to support a local venture.

Lovely and friendly. Busy and great staff who make you feel welcome and friendly. Forget what you think a working men's club might be like, this place is brilliant.
