    Must see!
    This was a lovely tour, really a once in a lifetime type of experience. The bioluminescence is truly magical and I'm thankful me and my family were able to experience it. Meds and Jeff were great tour guides and really friendly. The weather was perfect and the whole experience was wonderful. A must see!

    Highly recommend-use for tours and airport transportation too
    Great company and great value!
    We used this company for the cave tubing trip which was made extra special because of Greg, who was our driver for the day. He also added a couple extra stops just because we were on limited time and knew we wanted to make the most of it. The place we went for lunch was also delicious and one of our best meals while on our stay in Belize. Greg also was our driver to the airport the next day. We also rented our golf cart for the week from this company and it was a brand new golf cart-better pricing too than other golf cart rental places. I highly recommend this company-would use them again!

    Great experience
    The Get to Know Belize folks were excellent to deal with, professional, on time and made sure the entire family felt welcome. Well run operation locally and woman owned. Highly recommend Hopkins and GTKB for all travelers including those with children. The combo was a great way to do both activities and have lunch in between.

    Exhilarating jungle adventures
    It was my first visit to Belize and I wanted to do it all, so I convinced three others in our group of 8 travellers to join me. I am afraid of heights so these activities would hopefully help me conquer my fears. We heard that the hike up to Antelope Falls would be more physically challenging than our hike the previous day at the Cockscomb Jaguar preserve which made me a little nervous because I have a partial knee replacement. The hike to to the top was difficult but worth it to be able to swim in the freshwater pool at the top under the waterfall. It was so refreshing to cool off after the hard hike up. The views of the jungle canopy at the top were amazing and if it wasn't raining our guides said we would be able to see out to the caribbean sea. I was in good hands with our guides Sendy and Victor. Sendy made sure I didn't feel bad that I was slow hiking up the mountain. He made sure to offer assistance when I needed to find my footing and found me a walking stick to help. Sendy went down first and he rappelled down the waterfall barefooted with his backpack! Victor was amazing too! He taught us how to rappel down and reassured us that we would be able to do it. Then he rappelled down in just three hops with all the extra equipment he brought! They were both very supportive, reassuring, kind and patient guides. They coached and encouraged us as we rappelled down the first 175 ft drop of the waterfall. I felt I could trust them with my life. Then after lunch at the restaurant they took us ziplining and also patiently taught us how and helped capture videos of our ziplining adventures on our phones for us. After getting over the fear of jumping off the platform, it was absolutely exhilarating to fly through the air over the jungle canopy. I even smelled the ginger blossoms as we descended down the last zipline to the end. I highly recommend this excursion!

    Spectacular views and guides!
    Our family of four went to Bocawina to hike and decided spur of the moment to go ziplining as well. I am so glad we did! The views were spectacular and the guides were amazing.

    Thrills, Great Views, Laughter, Memories, and Best Tour Guide!
    Untame Belize did a custom tour for us which included ziplining, ATV rides and a night hike at Cockscomb. They were easy to work with, and our guide, Ricky, was absolutely the best. He is not just knowledgeable, but he made the whole day so much fun! He even took pictures for us and sent them to us later. Have never had a guide do that! The ziplining, ATV and night hike were all a blast and recommend each one solo or as part of package. Thank you, Ricky, for helping us make great memories!

    If you are into adventure and new experiences then the Bocawina zip line is a must do
    The staff at Bocawina Resort organize the tours not the National Park Service. I did the zip line and rappelling down the Bocawina Falls. The staff were great and very attentive. The zip line is the second longest in Belize. I was alone for the falls rappelling.

    However, it’s best you find your way to the National Park as the Bocawina Resort will charge you an exorbitant fee to pick you up. I paid $90 USD to go 30 minutes from Hopkins and back. That’s highway robbery in my view. When we came back to my hotel they brought staff with them so they could go to the ATM, on my dime. I felt used by the resort staff

    But I had a great time having the adventure

    Best day trip we did in Belize
    Our guide Victor Hernandos was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining, he had the entire bus laughing. During the Mayan ruins tour he brought his Mayan heritage and depths of knowledge.during a tubing he would swim against the current to show us unique pictures within the cave.Again his knowledge of Mayan beliefs and geology brought a unique prospective to the second part of a day. If you a fortunate to get Victor as a guide you are sure to enjoy your day and learn about this amazing country.

    Great activity for adventure seekers!
    We did 5 excursions during our stay in Belize and this was definitely the most challenging! The hike up was one of the more strenuous I have ever done and required both hands and feet to climb! It was worth it when we got to swim in the beautiful pool above the falls. It was our first time rappelling and Victor and Kevin were excellent teachers. They were both patient and encouraging, and also extremely knowledgeable. We left with a few battle scars, but would definitely do it again and recommend to other adventure seekers as well!

    THIS IS THE ONE TO DO!
    Xunantunich is a wonderful Mayan Ruin to visit. This makes the 4th Mayan Ruin that we have visited and it was well worth the rather long drive from Hopkins Bay. The lunch we had at the restaurant was called Pibble. Very interesting, and tasty. But as good as the ruin was I'm not sure it was better than the cave tubing (which was made extra special by our guide Orlin!) This part of the tour was very educational and enjoyable.

    We use Untamed Belize 2xs and both amazing Edgar and Ricky. The best. Full of information and love for their country
    We used Untamed Belize 2xs during our time in Belize - ruins and a shuttle from Belize city. Edgar and Ricky were both just wonderful. They have so much information and have a love for their country. Such a great time.

    Best tour booking you can find!
    What a great experience! We were treated like royalty by Medz and Terry. Medz is a great captain and chef. Terry was a great dive partner. He caught 2 lion fish and conch for us. He pointed out so many fish. I highly recommend Get to know Belize.
    Booking was made so easy by Laticia. We booked all 7 of our tours plus golf cart with GTKB once in Hopkins. Josie operates a wonderful company, plus she is a great cook. Thanks so much for a perfect first, but not last, Belize experience.

    Two Thumbs Up
    I used their service three times while in Belize. I was impressed all three times. Once was to Monkey River with Evers, second with Ian to Cockscomb for a hike and tubing, and the third was our shuttle from Placencia to Sleeping Giant.

    All our services with Barefoot were top notch. It was easy to book and always on time.

    I was extremely impressed for a shared tour. Pickups were prompt and Evers was great at sharing where he grew up. The meal there was best we had in all of our 14 day visit to Belize, including some very high end spots. Evers had a sharp eye for wildlife and if the animal is close to the river, he would spot it. If there is only one excursion you are doing in Placentia, this is one of the one.

    Then there private tours. We had a tour with Ian. He picked us up promptly for a tour of the Cockscomb Reserve. Ian was an awesome tour guide. He gave us the right amount of history and hiking for a great day in Belize. We did hiking and rafting and enjoyed both. You would find that Ian feels out his client and tailor makes it for their experience. I was very impressed with him. He went at our pace. When he knew we liked hiking, he picked up the pace. Another treat on this adventure is a stop in a small Mayan village on the road where we turned to go up to the reserve. There was a great chocolate shop, gift shop and outdoor café. Ian was great a choosing some dishes for us at the café that he knew we would like. These were included in the tour cost. Overall, an amazing day with him.

    The next day Ian drove us to our next destination on the Hummingbird Highway. Along the way we spoke a lot on the history and sights we were seeing. He has a great knowledge of the area and is very easy to talk to.

    I would highly recommend Ian and Evers as tour guides and strongly suggest you use Barefoot as your go to service for Hopkins and Placencia

    TIKAL bucket list dream came true!!
    Amazing travel experience to Tikal from Placencia. We were picked up at our resort for an exciting all day event of a life time to Tikal in Guatemala. Our day started at 5:20AM, we chatted about Belize as we watched the sun come up. By the time we reached the Guatemala border we were all friends. Edgar was our driver and demonstrated how proud he was to answer all of our questions and share stories of his life too. Hammerlin supervised the entire day, getting us through immigration and customs at the Guatemala border both ways. He showed us where to exchange some currency and introduced us to our Tikal guide. It’s common to leave one vehicle at the border so our guide drove us the rest of the way. Hammerlin hired a superb guide named Reyes. Attentive and knowledgeable about Tikal, Mayans, and the jungle! We were thrilled, every question was answered with enthusiasm and detail. Reyes not only answered our questions but taught us about the architecture, anthropology, and the history of the Mayans. Hammerlin made a great choice selecting our guide! As our long day was coming to an end, Jimmy drove us back to our Placencia resort. There is an unbelievable amount of pride talking to locals about Belize. Jimmy was no exception! Thank you Hammerlin for organizing the greatest tour we have ever been on. As world travelers we highly recommend untamedbelize.com.

    Amazing adventure. Caves were beautiful, zip lining so exciting. Two more things off my bucket list. Highly recommend this tour. Very safety oriented and wonderful time. I would do this one again
