- Anne129Balm Beach, Canada18 contributionsWhat a fabulous park! The sites were spacious and private we were tent camping and we were close to the comfort station! Lots to do in this park: swimming, hiking, biking trails, visitor center and a store and a restaurant. The beach is lovely and the bonus for us is there is a separate dog beach! The only downfall is there is poison ivy but just be aware of it! This is one of my favourite provincial parks you won’t be disappointed at the Pinery.Written January 21, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Cheryl M180 contributionsI hadn't been to the Pinery Market for about 10 years. Although it was much the same as I remembered, some things have changed. Parking is more expensive: $4.00 per person. So make sure you're going to stay long enough to get your $4.00 worth. Seems to be a lot more consumables: craft beer, cookies, pepperoni, coffee, peroghies, pretty much everything you might be craving. It's all very expensive, but looked delicious. Lots of *antiques* and gadgets, jewelry, nicknacks, crafts; typical flea market fare. Worth the drive and the $4.00, but not every Sunday - at least jot for me. We arrived early and it was fairly easy to walk around. By the time we left, crowds had grown and I was feeling claustrophobic and impatient. So, advice: Go early. Have some goal in mind ( I want cookies!). Get in and get out.Written July 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Suzanne KElmwood64 contributionsI love drag racing, especially the nitro and funny fuel cars. Night of Fire/Thunder is what i love the most. We go every year, it is reasonable and affordable. HEARING PROTECTION STRONGLY ADVISED AND PADDED CUSHIONS.Written September 9, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - eastcoastgirlHalifax, Canada16 contributionsEnjoyed a lovely bite to eat on the patio before the show at the theatre next door. There was a 45 minute wait for a table, despite the patio being half full, so I would recommend making a reservation. Once outside, the food and drinks were quick and the pizza was delicious. My only recommendation would be to have the staff tell folks why there is going to be a longish wait (lack of staff, pizza oven restrictions). Everyone who arrived the same time as us had the same reaction. “Why the wait when we can see through the big glass windows that there are lots of empty tables?” I asked and the woman at the desk only stared at me and repeated, “It will be a 30 minute wait.” Other than this, it was a lovely stop on our first trip to Grand Bend.Written September 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Valerie FMarkham, Canada377 contributionsNewer museum with small indoor collection of furnishings, glassware and other items. Out back there are a number of historic buildings (home, schoolhouse, church, blacksmith, slaughter house) and two buildings with farm tools/vehicles and cutters, sleds, hearse, etc. Inside area is laid out well and gives a glimpse into the variety of items in the collection but not on display. Museum focuses mainly on early settlers and farm life. Had hope for more history of indigenous people of the area as well.Written July 23, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Klexa25London, Canada78 contributionsWhile in Grand Bend, don't forget to go down by the docks to stroll through Sunset Arts Gallery. Numerous area Artists call this home during the summer and fall. They display their artwork and creations, are there to answer your questions and love to chat to the customers as they come in for a visit. We have over the years purchased several pieces of artwork from here and to this day enjoy them as they grace our home..Written August 25, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
