- DeidreSNew Jersey5 contributionsWhat a wonderful and healing place. We started most of our days with a yoga class, followed by breakfast at the Ital Mama Vegan Cafe.
Empress is a highly experienced teacher with a deep knowledge of yoga, and she is able to tailor classes to each student’s particular needs. She was so warm and encouraging of our practice, and her space is so cool and comfortable, we can’t thank Empress enough for her kind and welcoming yoga home away from home.
Breakfast after class at the Ital Mama cafe, where everything is made from scratch with care in every step, was the perfect way to set up for the day.Written January 20, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. After much research I had landed on Psilocybin as my choice of medicine. In addition I needed an environment that provided me extended period of time (7 days), group as well as individual support., trained experienced therapists, and a beautiful environment. MycoMeditation's staff and therapists were excellent stewards of the medicine and the group process.Jamaica is beautiful. I had, pre, during and am now being supported with ongoing integration support. This was my first time and won't be my last. I am deeply changed, gained new friends and am being supported to continue the mind, hear, and soul opening journey. If you are seeking to transform for any reason I highly recommend MycoMeditations. - Dana R1 contributionWe were celebrating my husband's 40th and I cannot say enough about the day my family spent with Capitan Dennis and his team. Truly a top-notch group from the food to the service and even giving us the extra time to watch the dolphins that came up to the boat. Communication was great and we never felt rushed to leave. I would absolutely plan a day with them next time we are on the island!Written January 30, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MJ Fraleigh4 contributionsCaptain Joseph and Freddy were amazing! This was the highlight of our vacation. Stop at Pelican Bar for a drink, then off to his private beach. We were served an outstanding meal. Then swimming and unlimited drinks. The sea became a little rough on the way home. It was a little scary, but exhilarating! - Ann S11 contributionsStarting out in Frenchman’s Bay in the very capable hands of Captains Clive and Javis, we stopped at Jake’s to pick up a large party traveling out to Pelican Bar with another boat.
While traveling the coast I knew I was as close to heaven as could be for now. The azure blue waters, the sun shining on everyone’s faces, the mountains dotted with villas, and people waving from the shoreline, pure happiness!
Out in the blue Caribbean Sea as we watched and waited, we passed Billy’s Bay the shoreline became a landscape of mountains, sand dunes, farms and a few cottages.
Alas, I see a speck, as we get closer you can clearly see the outline of the Pelican Bar. What a sight it is, a big undertaking to create a mile from shore all made out of wood. We dropped our passengers off and continued to the town of Parotte and the Black River.
Upon the entrance to the Black River you’ll find many commercial fishing vessels big and small. As we continued in we met our 1st crocodile and it was huge, the mangroves, wildlife and birds are beautiful. We turned around in a cul de sac as a storm was approaching and wanted to get back to the Pelican Bar as the other guests needed to depart.
We stayed at Pelican Bar for a couple of hours for a few drinks, met interesting people from all over the world. Swam in the waters nearby, saw colorful fish and wallowed in the beautiful scenery all around.
Beautiful boat ride back with Javis and Clive. We stopped to see a crocodile that was swimming in the sea.
Thank you Clive, Javis and Sandre for making my 30th Wedding Anniversary the best ever!
