More than a moderate hike, almost 10 km both ways, you will need 3 hours here for sure, mostly in the shade, definitely need to bring your water bottle.
No parking when we got there at 11am on a weekday (I have to say people did a lousy job parking leaving too much space in between cars, could almost fit in there, but not really, crazy), so had to go back to the village to park, $3 per hour, maximum 3 hours, which is a bit too tight.

This was a beautiful trail that went directly alongside the escarpment. I wish there had been more signs on the road indicating we were going in the right direction to get to the parking lot and I wish the parking lot did not charge so much to park our car. It was $5 per hour and $30 for the day? I can't remember the day cost, but considering we are out in the middle of nowhere, I cannot believe they charged so much for this parking lot. There were port-a-potties there and the trail was maintained although again, more signage indicating how far to the next juncture would be nice. The trail itself is stunning and at times, difficult. You definitely need to wear actual shoes with laces at the very least. The Devil's Monument (a flower pot) was close to the parking lot, but the trail itself looped for 4.2 kms. It was hard going along the escarpment and a bit easier on the way back through the loop. We did it in just less than 2 hrs. You can do the beach at the bottom of the Devil's Monument, but we just went down part way before continuing along the trail. Kids would enjoy this trail, but not little kids. It would be too difficult for them to navigate the rocks.

This local beach and park has a lot going for it. There's plenty of picnic tables, restrooms, large grassy areas, large shade trees, cold/clean water to play in. Lacking is good quality sand. Very pebbly/rocky sand, though people had their blankets set up on it. Parking is very tight and not much of it during busy times of the day.

Very nice views. Nice trails leading off from the beach. Water fountains, pavilions and some benches. Free entry. Historic signage.

Great quiet place to stay with nice clear water. The beach is very rocky and without sand. We were there in September 2019 and had to put on a sweater because of the wind. Nevertheless, it is worth visiting this place.

    This is the Bayside Astronomy.

We can only do this in the night.

There are many people coming here to enjoy!

The Bruce Peninsula has some of the darkest skies in southern Ontario.

This is a place where Milky Way blankets the sky from horizon and where the natural rhythm of darkness and light is preserved, creating healthy habitats for for wildlife and people alike.

The Northern Bruce Peninsula is a refuge for fark shies and a place,

Light pollution is the easiest pollution to fix, become a dark sky steward in your own neighborhood and help bring back the night.

This is a beautiful church. It's name: Christ Church Anglican Parish of the Bruce Peninsula

    The church is beige.

    They have a tower.

I like the door, it is grey!

    A must see!

Did about a 6km hike here yesterday and had a picnic lunch @ the ruins. It was pretty nice. We went the long way -- down the spiral staircase, down the steep stairs to the beach, then past the Wiarton marina and then looped back around up the hill to reconnect with the park. The ruins were great, there were small patches of water access along the white trail, and a nice lookout at the top of the cliffs on the blue trail.

We spent a week hiking the Bruce Peninsula with Zain and Muffy from Explorer’s Tread. It was a self-guided hike with drop-off and pick-up most days and a few days where we were able to walk directly to our accommodations. What a wonderful experience. The hike was well planned, well mapped and every effort was taken for safety. We had a GPS device that we could use for emergencies and so the good folks at Explorer’s Tread knew where we were—just in case. The best thing was that Zain and Muffy lived in the area and were probably the most infectiously enthusiastic representatives for this beautiful region of Canada. They knew every aspect of the trails we took and gave great advice about places to stop for lunch, places to explore for dinner and “special spots” along the trails that we absolutely should not miss. Both Zain and Muffy are first-responders and are incredibly safety-oriented. I had a miserable blister on the bottom of my foot on the last day and Muffy fixed up my foot well enough so I could do the 20km hike with no difficulty (she was my hero after that!). My husband, daughter and I had an absolutely wonderful time on this hike and STRONGLY recommend you consider going with this great team. They will take very good care of you and allow you to enjoy the best of what the Bruce Peninsula has to offer. (Just watch out for the poison ivy!)

Great place to find fantastic gifts for all ages. You'll probably end up purchasing something for yourself too.

Off the beaten track and just down Main Street, still local to downtown is the Dandy Lion. Packed with unique items from the Brue or Lion's Head as souvenirs and things to remember your holiday break.
They also have other items that would make quaint additions to your home or office space. All of the times look to be made from high quality materials an workmanship offering good value for your money unlike some tourist stops.

The boats are well taken care.

We saw Canadians and people of the States.

We could walk nearby the boats.

    Everybody were nice.

    A must see!

Cute little gift store with surprisingly lots of clothing to choose from. I saw kids' clothes and toys.
    There were even essentials there.
