What travellers are saying
- Mouse12 contributionsWe arrived pretty early so there was a lot of parking. The beach sand was clean as well as soft and the water was very nice. We rented two umbrellas and four sunbeds for a reasonable price. However, when we went to eat lunch they told us we had to wait for two hours since we didn't have a reservation. So we waited but when they finally seated us the table wasn't ready and we were not able to order for some time. We ended up ordered sandwiches and pasta but they were all very oily and not tasty at all. All in all, the beach is amazing and quite a stunning place but the quality of the restaurant is not worth buying food. I recommend just bringing a picnic.Written August 21, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- julialeveneLondon, UK43 contributionsLovely museum and site. You do get an understanding of how opulent life was for the Emperors.
The audio guide was only available in Italian. Would be easy enough to use AI to convert into other languages.
Loved that we were able to walk inside the cave and around the ruins.
Can be done easily in a few hours.Written September 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Walking and wandering along these narrow streets, looking into hidden nooks and crannies is one sheer pleasure and delight. There are a lot of some small details, finds in the design of houses, doors, courtyards that make you stop and look, admire, be surprised at unexpected decisions. Narrow crooked streets either lead to a dead end, or suddenly cross in a bizarre way, or suddenly lead to a small square called Piazza della Libertà. Due to its location on a cliff above the sea, its dazzling white color, the way the houses climb up, as if overtaking one another, Sperlonga is very photogenic. She looks beautiful from every angle.Written August 26, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Michael F2 contributionsWe day tripped to Sperlonga beach from ROME, and found this place to rent umbrella and chairs for 35E / day which was very fair price and this seems like a family run place and they were very friendly and accommodating. This place is right next to marina if you looking for it and a bit of walk but worth it. We had lunch and they offer pasta with fish which was very good and good size portion. Also my son ordered fired calamari and it was the best I have had! Overall very relaxing and friendly with good food and excellent location!Written June 21, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Savvas123Warsaw, Poland698 contributionsTorre Truglia is located below the Sperlonga old town at the bottom of the hill by the sea. It is nicely visible from a distance. Sperlonga is a beautiful little town and it should definitely be visited.Written July 31, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Denny196414 contributionsOn a trip to a campsite just outside of Rome I decided to look up the best coastal resort between Rome and Naples on Google and found Sperlonga so I decided to book a hotel and take an overnight stay there. Well I wasn't disappointed, it was as described and more. Paradise. Beautiful village, fabulous clear blue water and fantastic hospitality.Written November 7, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A bit far from the center, but one of the best shoreline of the coast, so it is worth doing it.
Very good price/quality ratio.
Sun bed were brain new and very confortable.
The water was crystal clear, no seaweed, fine and soft sand for an easy access to the sea.

Don’t go in August as no chance of getting in. It’s restaurant, day beds & umbrella for €30 a day, shower, bathroom & car park all of which are usually impossible to find in Italy in summer.Written July 24, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dinara MAlmaty, Kazakhstan4 contributionsThis is very beautiful and tidy place. Not sure if it’s cheap, but even though it never looks cheap)
Good parking under the trees and very close to the sun beds.
Sea is perfect and clean surrounding. Beautiful bushes and cafe with good WiFi, clean and delicious snacks. Music is charming.Written August 22, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
