Interesting museum with a huge archeological site of Villa Tiberius that's located a short walk from the museum. The ruins and the cave are highly recommended to visit. The museum is interesting but a bit on the smaller size.

We arrived pretty early so there was a lot of parking. The beach sand was clean as well as soft and the water was very nice. We rented two umbrellas and four sunbeds for a reasonable price. However, when we went to eat lunch they told us we had to wait for two hours since we didn't have a reservation. So we waited but when they finally seated us the table wasn't ready and we were not able to order for some time. We ended up ordered sandwiches and pasta but they were all very oily and not tasty at all. All in all, the beach is amazing and quite a stunning place but the quality of the restaurant is not worth buying food. I recommend just bringing a picnic.

Sperlonga is not only beaches, but also a charming town on the Riviera di Ulisse. Walking and wandering along these narrow streets, looking into hidden nooks and crannies is one sheer pleasure and delight. There are a lot of some small details, finds in the design of houses, doors, courtyards that make you stop and look, admire, be surprised at unexpected decisions. Narrow crooked streets either lead to a dead end, or suddenly cross in a bizarre way, or suddenly lead to a small square called Piazza della Libertà. Due to its location on a cliff above the sea, its dazzling white color, the way the houses climb up, as if overtaking one another, Sperlonga is very photogenic. She looks beautiful from every angle.

Torre Truglia is located below the Sperlonga old town at the bottom of the hill by the sea. It is nicely visible from a distance. Sperlonga is a beautiful little town and it should definitely be visited.

We day tripped to Sperlonga beach from ROME, and found this place to rent umbrella and chairs for 35E / day which was very fair price and this seems like a family run place and they were very friendly and accommodating. This place is right next to marina if you looking for it and a bit of walk but worth it. We had lunch and they offer pasta with fish which was very good and good size portion. Also my son ordered fired calamari and it was the best I have had! Overall very relaxing and friendly with good food and excellent location!

Really clean, simple, practical and staff very charming.
A bit far from the center, but one of the best shoreline of the coast, so it is worth doing it.
    Very good price/quality ratio.
Sun bed were brain new and very confortable.
The water was crystal clear, no seaweed, fine and soft sand for an easy access to the sea.

On a trip to a campsite just outside of Rome I decided to look up the best coastal resort between Rome and Naples on Google and found Sperlonga so I decided to book a hotel and take an overnight stay there. Well I wasn't disappointed, it was as described and more. Paradise. Beautiful village, fabulous clear blue water and fantastic hospitality.

This is a private beach where you have to book before you go. It helps if you know a local. Don’t go in August as no chance of getting in. It’s restaurant, day beds & umbrella for €30 a day, shower, bathroom & car park all of which are usually impossible to find in Italy in summer.

Rome was sweltering hot so we decided to cancel our colosseum tour and get out of the city for the day and head to Sperlonga. Read about this beautiful beach club on trip advisor and we decided to check it out! It ended up being a highlight of our trip.

I reached out to the owner and he recommended a few taxi services for us to get there. We were dropped off at the boardwalk and had about a 5 minute walk to the lido down the beach.

We absolutely loved this place! It wasn’t too busy and there were virtually no other tourists in site. There was change room facilities and a clean bathroom available to use. The owner also provided us towels to use for the day.

For €25 we had 2 chairs and an umbrella for the day on one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever visited. Great coffees, cocktails and snacks were available and we had a fantastic lunch of fresh sword fish, caprese salad and a gorgeous bottle of white wine. Prices were very reasonable and worth every penny.

The beach is beautiful with white, fine sand and zero rocks when getting into the water. Cool breezes kept the heat away and the sea was delightful warm. The service was amazing too. It’s a family run business and they took care of our every need. It was such a wonderful day that we are considering planning a trip to stay in the area longer.

Definitely worth a visit! Just an hour by train from Termini station or 2 hours by car. Spend the day in the Mediterranean paradise, you won’t regret it!

We walked along the beaches and after 15-20 minutes we came to this museum-archaeological site. Now part of the monumental complex of Sperlonga is open to the public. Outside the fenced area there are three objects: an archaeological museum, the ruins of a villa and a grotto. The museum itself is small. It is based on archaeological finds found in the villa of Tiberius. All that remains of the villa are the foundations. And we liked it under the arches of the grotto. During the time of the emperor, the grotto was decorated with numerous sculptures, which, alas, have not survived. Perhaps, later, the sculptures will take their places, and Tiberius’s grotto will appear before visitors in its finished form.
