The bluff and cliffs were really cool, the trees were very tall and i found some great rocks on the beach. The ground was pretty flat and not tiring to walk on. I had a very good time.

Although not a major attraction tourist wise, this walk through the forest and along the river provides another delicious taste of Van Is outdoors. It doesn't take long when you have other goodies to see but it certainly gives one a good look at some rapids and falls (subdued at present by lower flows)and geology as well as a taste of rainforest along with a bit of exercise. Well worth a couple hrs of a nature lovers time.

There are several lovely walks in this park. If you are looking to be surrounded by forest, you will find that here. Do pick up a map - it is easy to get turned around in here. We took Melda's Marsh Loop, and though the map says it connects with Seal Loop, we could not find it. User error, I believe. Some of the signage is a bit misleading, but I think the purpose in this park is to wander and absorb, not to get from point A to point B. Easy, pretty connecting trail to Seal Bay RV Park.

Went for the zip lining. I had reserved in advance and got a call the day before saying that I was the only one so they could not do it. I received a call later that night saying one 45 minutes later was available would I like to come. I said yes. Got there the next day. Vistas are amazing. Area is nice. There is a store there and a restaurant with a patio. Simple with picnic tables. Ordered a burger and fries, frozen patty type fare not that great. But really didn’t come to eat. Went to zip lining. Toby and Rachel were our guides. There was 2 others in our group. They walked us through the activity after a video then off to the practice area. Quick tutelage on how the zip lining works and off we went. Up the chairlift to the first stage. During the whole time they are pointing out landmarks and going over local wildlife etc. Well I was first up and man it was something else. Flying down there at top speeds was soooo much fun. It is all done very safely. 4 lengthy runs. It took us just under 2 hours but we had a small group. Our guides, Toby and Rachel were so good. Friendly, professional and I felt very safe. You could tell they both loved their jobs. Keep up the great work guys. I will be back. Zip lining was a 5 but the restaurant experience brought the review down. Pack a lunch. Good service at the patio but low grade product.

I love the Filberg park all year Go for the gardens, the tree species, the views, the petting zoo in the summer, the restaurant and of course the Filberg festival. It is a gem and although it is not a massive property a walk through always makes me happy. Our guest all love it too!

We had so much fun here
Such a cute tiny but beautiful island !
    Very chill vibes.
The rock formation along the beach shoreline is nothing like I’ve seen before in Canada !
    Quite eccentric
We played at the disc golf course too and had alot of fun.

If you appreciate PNW indigenous art, this gallery is worth a visit. Whether you are actively shopping or “just looking”, the gallery has lots to offer with a wide variety of tasteful merchandise and helpful staff to assist you. Reasonably priced, they have merchandise to fit almost any budget . There are some very nice, unique pieces, however, I would not characterize the gallery as “high end” or “fine art”. Jewelry, clothing, carvings, prints, small sculptures, books, children’s items and more! You will be tempted!

The Museum is by paid donation, generally $5. Pleasant staff and with benches to sit on if requried. There are vrious large dinosaur fossils and an abundance of ammonites and you can see some of the mineralized solours that make the ammonites into a world renowned semi-precious gemstone, ammolite. There are paintings by loggers who worked in the surrounding area in the early days, depictions of early settlers an their lifestyle. For a small museum it is very good. The gift shop has many items of interest.
