- Grifology70Melbourne, Australia349 contributionsNot many open malls in Australia so pacific fair is unique. Great range of shops and food options. Car parking is easy and accessible. A nice stroll!Written January 16, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Sean P10 contributionstap your credit card, hop on, hop off, really cheap, frequent and easy. - Michelle MCanberra, Australia200 contributionsIts free, gives discounts for food and alcohol, all you need is current photo ID. You can join on line and pick up card on arrival. Food court food as you expect, like a leagues club or surf club meal. The specials are generous portions but avoid the bugs, they are dry. The roast finishes at 8pm. Drinks are inconsistent in price. James Squire ginger beer $12.80 one night $8 the next. Host on nineteenth was curt, off hand and unwelcoming. We clearly didn't meet the 'age' selection. (not young enough) Told we needed photo id to access casino. This is not true. Discount vouchers you get with membership are very tightly limited, restricted menu options. Ok but spread your money around town.

Could easily spend an hour or two letting kids roam free.Written July 18, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - EyekaytooLeverkusen, Germany2,622 contributionsIn Broadbeach you can't miss this area which eventually leads down to the beach. It's close to the Oasis Shopping Centre and you can normally find what you need in the numerous bars, cafes and pleasant shops.
You don't have to worry about traffic here - nicely pedestrianized with plenty of benches to sit and watch the world go by.

- Greer LBrisbane, Australia4 contributionsJust spent 4 nights at the Star Residences
Pros: views, pools, easy access to the casino, friendly staff
Cons:
- a 50 level tower has been built with no additional car parking for guests added to the casino, and parking is not guaranteed for hotel guests. How was this approved by council? So basically parking is pot luck, particularly on evenings when the casino is holding events. I spoke with a family that had to park their car offsite and Uber their luggage to the hotel. We were lucky and managed to get one,
After driving around for a long time
- reception area is tiny and can hold about 2-3 families. Absolute chaos at check in time
- room was not ready at check in time. We only had to wait 30 mins, but spoke with someone who had waited 2 hours
- whilst the staff are lovely, you’re expected to take your own luggage to your room and bring the luggage trolly back down. Given how long the lifts can take to go up and down, this took a long time and wasn’t great with two young kids in tow
- another family in our party had to move rooms due to black water leakage 🤢
- no signage in the lifts so if you’re in there and hadn’t worked out where you needed to go, it was confusing
- Rooms were nice, but furniture felt cheap. We seemed to trip over the breakfast bar chairs (more than normal), and the lamps fell off the bedside tables a lot
- level 6 pool was nice, but dirty cups and dishes were left around the pool for ages. Again cheap furniture - the drinks tables were flimsy. And the towels were hidden behind trees at the back of the pool rather than at the entrance. Was a bit frustrating
Overall not a a fan of this experience and unlikely to return. Feel like the residences have a lot of teething issues to iron out, and concerned that another few towers are being built without the right infrastructure in place (eg parking)Written September 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
