What travellers are saying
- max_hartwigDonostia - San Sebastian, Spain161 contributionsThere are many beaches between Estepona and Gibraltar. Near Sotogrande, this beach has the best vibes, and plenty of parking. The water is clean, the waves fun for kids, and you can rent deck chairs at two beach bars. The crowd is young and having fun. The views from the beach are average. There are water sports activities occurring offshore, but the noise /diesel fumes are not on top of you.
Much better than Sotogrande Beach if you want something a bit lively.Written July 9, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We enjoyed a game during this Torneo International as guests of a polo professional player, he was an excellent host explaining so many details, while we were watching the game from the balcony. Fantastic service, smiling staff and always present to ask if we would like more drinks or we need anything else.
After the game we enjoyed the entertainment zone having a drink and chatting, meeting friends and sharing the passion for the good life and this fabulous sport.
The audience's mostly Spanish, locals on holidays. I also asked information about the final on the info desk and they were really polite and willing to help, in English! This place's ideal for corporate and private experiences with premium customization! I will definitely visit again!Written August 28, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Samuel9612Vienna, Austria780 contributionsThis course has certainly a good reputation and you pay for that. 500 euros for a round without a buggy and additionally you have to pay for a caddy you expect the course to be in pristine condition.
I was disappointed by the greens as well as the fore greens.
Infrastructure was really nice but the course condition needs to improveWritten October 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Lovely layout which can change depending upon where they put the tee boxes. The yellow tees were in some instances very far forward on the last day we played, which spoiled some of the more spectacular water holes, and made the par 3s very similar.
Greens quick and undulating but again the last time we played they were heavily sanded making it less consistent than previously experienced at La Reserva.
Definitely worth a visit - lives up to its ranking. If you are prepared to pay expensive prices then this part of Andalucia has excellent golf courses. Finca Cortesin, Sotogrande, La Reserva, Las Brisas and Valderrama are a match for anywhere in the world. And at the prices they charge it keeps out the football shirts and lager swillers that can sometimes be seen in The Algarve and at PGA Catalunya.Written February 18, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The atmosphere was delightful, and the attention from the club’s staff made my day truly special. The food was excellent, perfectly complementing the serene and luxurious setting.
A special thank you to our waiters, Antonio and Andres, who were incredibly welcoming and nice. Their exceptional service added a wonderful touch to our experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy a day at the beach.Written August 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Jenny-JetsetRedmond, WA727 contributionsFor bird watchers, the estuary is a haven for a variety of birds. Enter from the south side of the park, where there is street parking and a sign denoting the park. There is a wide, flat walking trail to access the estuary and the beach.
For beach goers and picnicers, the beach is a hidden gem. It's frequented by a few locals and fishermen. The sand is soft and the views are extraordinary from Spain to Rock of Gibraltar to North Africa. No facilities. No lifeguards.Written March 24, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I booked through Sunshine Golf, who I’ve used successfully in past trips but have to say I’ve been a little concerned over their recent charges. I’ve used them as historically it’s usually cheaper deal that rack rate, however on this occasion I was charged 115 euro pp whereas to book direct online it’s substantially cheaper at €79 inc buggy and worth every penny. Its seems to be part of a hotel spa and real estate complex all very high end and we were made to feel welcome on arrival. I would have given a 5 star rating had it not been for the lack of GPS on the buggy, which I feel should be standard at this level of course. However that said there was a nice water cooler with complimentary water, freezer packs and they dropped off some free bananas during the round again nice touch. The course itself was in tip top condition and the greens by far the best I’ve played on so far. Some tricky and tight holes, up and down hill and some water to navigate but all in all nice track. We played front nine on Pinos and then 9 on Lagos both nice Lagos slightly more exposed whereas Pinos had some beautiful mature trees lining most fairways. I would definitely recommend this course for all standards of golfersWritten September 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Steven M1 contributionWe decided to have a day out to Casares and what better way to travel than in the new electric Mokes from The Jollymile. Tom is an excellent guide and he led the way and we followed in 2 Mokes. My daughter who is 21 drove one Moke and my wife drove the other. We visited Caseres and then went to an excellent restaurant for lunch. An amazing day out that everyone enjoyed.
Thank you Tom for the experience and your recommendations of places to visit. Looking forward to doing another trip.Written June 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
