- Devendra GIndia950 contributionsMG Marg is a typical mall road as you have in every hill station. The difference being that it is very well organized, one can explore the place, eatries and shops very peacefully. On top of it, as the city is very clean, it enhances the overall experience. Enjoyed spending couple of hours walking and exploring shops.Written March 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Devendra GIndia950 contributionsThis monastery is also know as Lingdum monastery, and appears by the same name in google map. If you only have the time to visit one monastery in gangtok, this is the one. Slightly outside the city, extremely peaceful. The aura and energy of the place was so powerful that we were overwhelmed. I could have spend couple of more hours in the place.Written March 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Devendra GIndia950 contributionsHanuman tok is the highest point in Gangtok. On the top is a temple of hanuman ji and Ram ji. One can drive all the way up to the temple. From the parking lot, a ramp has been built for senior citizens / elders to avoid climbing stairs. Overall atairs would also be less than 100. In nutshell, it is easily approachable from the parking lot for all age groups. The temple of hanuman ji is extremely beautiful. The views from the top are also very beautiful. It is the place to view the entire city on one slide and the mountain range on the other side. Must visit.Written March 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Charles_and_SusanNottingham, UK5,871 contributionsWe could see this cable car from our hotel window. We walked up and found the base station. We bought tickets which were only 130 each. We were last to enter a fairly full cabin. The views around as we went up were good.
The surprise came when we got to the top. The cabin slowed then stopped alongside the steps. We were last in and so should have been first out.
We weren't let out, the cabin started to desend and we went back down. No opportunity to get out and look around - a bit of a disappointment.Written November 18, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The temple is located at the top of a hill overlooking the city and provides stunning views of the valley below. The interior of the temple is adorned with traditional artwork and intricate sculptures of Lord Ganesha. The temple also hosts a variety of cultural events and festivals throughout the year. I had the opportunity to visit the temple and was amazed by the beautiful architecture and its spiritual atmosphere. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the temple offered a very calming environment. I highly recommend visiting this temple to anyone visiting Gangtok, as it is a great place to relax and take in the beauty of the city.Written January 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - P SNew Delhi, India56 contributionsWe had to buy few coins at the entry but food & drinks were complimentary & they were really good. In India, casinos are very few & I think it is one of the best. They also provided free drop back service to my place.Written September 28, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
