As other reviews mentioned, there is very little time to enjoy any of the three sites. Only 1.5 hours in Chania, not even enough time to explore the harbor or old town, or even try a hop on hop off bus to get a bit of a tour of the city. I wish there was an option for a day trip to Chania only. A bus ticket return is $30 Euros so we thought for the extra 20 it would be worth it. I would have liked 4-5 hours in Chania. Lake Kournas was beautiful. I also wish we had more time here, and that we explored before heading straight to the restaurant. The restaurant was very busy, full of tour bus people like it was the only place. Service was overwhelmed and couldn't handle the rush. When we finally paid, we only had 15 minutes to walk down to the lake. Water was gorgeous. Lots of shops and lake front restaurants, wish we had gone down first. The lake is definitely worth visiting. Rhythemno was also nice, but after Chania and the Lake it was anticlimactic. It also may have been that it was a long day, but the harbor and town center is very similar to Chania and Heraklion and we had 1.5 hours only here as well. I know tour guides want to pack as much as possible into a day, but it would be nice if we could actually have some time to explore and enjoy the cities. My advice would be to take the city bus or rent a car and explore Chania on your own. Greece is a very safe country to go get lost in
