Nainital Lake is one of the top most attractions of Nainital. On the mall road you can go here and visit the famous Naina Devi temple. The lake is excellent for boating. You can take a paddle boat but convenient will be to take rowing boat with the person rowing for you. 3 people can sit in one boat. They will take you for an hour or half and hour depending upon your preference. The lake boat ride will give you complete view of the nainital hillstation which is surrounded by mountains. It will take few hours and post the boat ride you can do some shopping in the nearby Tibet market and other stalls leading to the Naina devi temple. Must visit place in Nainital.

Nice Place to visit if you have kids. Need 2-3 hrs to spend with some tiresome walks. You have to trek high as you go on to see more animals as zoo is situated on top as name sujjest high altitude.
You can easily get vehicles from zoo pont on Mall road on sharing basis at economical rates.
Tiger cage is in starting only so elderly people can avoid going to top as trek is tiresome

The caves are preserved in their natural charm and the animal sounds are added to accentuate the effect.
It’s an interesting and doable trek.

This Hanuman Temple (some call this place Hanuman Garhi) in Naukuchiatal, Tehsil Bhimtal, District Nainital, Uttrakhand is managed by Bhakti Dham Trust. The larger than life Lord Hanuman statue in the temple is distinctly visible from the Bhimtal-Naukuchital main road. The temple is very beautiful and having idols of Lord Hanuman, Neem Karoli Baba, Bhakti Maa and Cave of Mata Vaishno Devi in prominence. We stayed here for a night and enjoyed the Lunch and Dinner Prasada. Halwa Prasad is offered to all devotees visiting the temple at lower floor. There are two big halls where one can sit and do prayers and meditation etc. Several books were there related to trust, Bhakti Maa and other religious and spiritual topics for selling. One can do Parikarma of the whole temple complex. There is a Gaushala and a beautiful small garden inside.
We met Shri GS Bisht, who heads the Bhakti Dham Trust. We discussed and assured support in several charitable work they do in villages for school children by providing them winter wears, shoes etc. We listen to the history of Bhakti Dham there. His mother was venerated by masses in this area. She was intensely devoted to Neem Karoli Baba of Kanchi Dham. She did not speak to any one from 1951 to 2013 (kept the Maun Vrat for 62 years until she passed away). Neem Karoli Baba gave her the title of ''Bhakti Maa" (Mauni Mai). On her mother memory Bhakti Dham Trust was established and is serving masses and Sanatan.

Not many people visit it but I would suggest everyone to go and see this place. This building has its own history and the best part is its ambience is calm and peaceful.
Along with the tickets you get a guide for the whole group who tells you everything and even takes you inside the building. Photography is not allowed inside the building but outside you can enjoy the views and garden.

The cable car itself is ordinary but the views of the lake & the town on the way up & down are stunning. Views of snow-capped mountains, once you reach the top, are subject to the vagaries of the weather.

This is believed to be the highest place in Nainital and very popular among the tourists. we asked our package tour driver to take us there but he advised that the road to the top is not motorable and he would drop us at the base of this stony and treacherous path from where the distance would be about half a km. So we both started walking hoping that in 15-20 minutes we would be able to cover the distance. However, when we asked the people who were returning, we were advised to go back because it is a long walk of about 2 km. Some people also told us that from another point horse riding was available and we had come to the wrong point for reaching the Tiffin Top. However, we did not want to go back in spite of our old age, my heart problem and wife's knee problem. Finally we reached the top, first took water followed by tea and snacks as there are a few eateries at Tiffin Top. Of course, the view of the Nainital town was simply breathtaking and we felt exhilarated on reaching there. No doubt, we had taken a big risk. Of course, It is a must visit place, also popularly known as Dorothy Seat after the name of of the wife of its discoverer. Even form the horse ride point. we could not have gone for horse riding, and so walking was the only option. However, I shall advise elderly tourists to avoid visit to this place. even by horse riding. The younger tourists who are interested in visiting this peak are advised to have horse riding and should go to another point.
