What travellers are saying
- Griet dBelgium6 contributionsWe were 6 adults, 3 children of 3 years old and a baby. We took a full pass to all activities in the parc. Great combination of activities for both adults and children. There’s also a lot of space in all areas (we had a rather big stroller) and it’s very cool inside so good for hot summer days.
Personell was really very friendly!
The children also enjoyed it: the story of winery told in a playful way, all parts of the museum very interactive and attractive for children as well. Some parts are like an attraction parc, and we did not even have to pay for the children. The little train brings you to the garden, where there is also room for children to participate in the activities. We had a very pleasant day and were all very tired at the end of the day (you spend a whole day there). Food at noon was very good and not expensive at all. Also good facilities for children!Written July 30, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I thought the animal enclosures were closer to their natural habitat compared to the concrete box enclosures that I saw in some zoos. It was spacious but you still feel close enough to the animals to admire them. The animals looked healthy and well taken cared of. My favorite were the white tigers!
You have a carousel and other games to entertain kids, definitely a kid friendly zoo! On top of that, there are plenty of spaces and picnic areas for families to have their food.Written May 1, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A great hostess and good wine made the stop so enjoyableWritten November 13, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jeffrey SIthaca, NY8 contributionsThis gem of a small museum is located on the edge of town not far from the town square and Maison de Ville, and about a 15 minute walk from the Romaneche-Thorin train station. It presents a comprehensive history of Compagnonnage, a guild-like system of skilled traveling master artisans, particularly those devoted to wood framing and construction. The exhibits lay out the 5 century history of this system, which still exists in France to some extent even today, and the displays are beautifully curated. Audio guides are available in English. There are fascinating documents, photographs, and drawings, but the elaborate built structures meant to demonstrate a worker's design and technical skills which are on display are particularly impressive. Wish I could have added photos, but couldn't get them to upload properly.
If you visit this town, do not miss this remarkable museum!Written May 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The shop is always an Alladins cave of many delightful wines.
If you like Beaujolais, then you'll like this place, and their production is always delightful.
Though it has got a bit more commercial and more expensive since those early experiences of mine. They still have a great atmosphere. Good bar too.Written July 24, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Her passion, knowledge and kind sense of humour made us feel so special. We had a beautiful intro and brief history out in the gardens. We then went to the impressive cellar and genuinely had one of the best tastings ever!! So very informative and an excellent look at various vintages and varieties. A very unique experience and region. Purchased some awesome wines from the shop at extremely reasonable prices. Thank you Genevieve!!Written September 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Tim RCharlotte, NC1,006 contributionsAfter visiting by the 15th century windmill, Le Moulin Ă Vent, we walked across the street to Caveau Moulin Ă Vent for a tasting. The staff person that performed our tasting was competent, but not particularly friendly. We were served one white wine and four reds (one red was from Domaine de la Teppe). None of the wines that we tasted were particularly memorable.Written July 29, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
