We have visited the hotel before, the last time being when BW had not long taken it over. They have made massive strides in updating the fixtures and fittings in the hotel. A work in progress, but doing a brilliant job. The beds were extremely comfortable 👍
The staff as always were as helpful as they could be.
Michelle and Lisa were particularly attentive during meal service, friendly, polite and happy to help in any way they could, along with their team (some of whom were still in training).
The simple redecoration of the ballroom made for a warm, inviting space to spend our time dancing. Again, Lisa and a younger man (didn't get his name) ran the bar effectively.
Also, the man doing all the decorating in the front lobby was so lovely. He was working hard to get the jobs done, while also being very considerate of the guests entering and exiting. I hope his coffee cup is always full!

We visited for the luminate. It was very well done with pretty illuminations and attractions. All the staff were friendly and it was a wonderful enjoyable evening. Particularly I want to call out Charlotte's Pantry for 2 reasons:
    1. Offering vegan options on the menu
    2. Listing the menu in both Welsh and English languages. Very respectful of our language, diolch.
Thanks again to all the staff.

This is an amazing place for walking and mountain biking. There are a number of trails (easy and hard), a bike shop, lovely walks and a river. My partner and his friend went mountain biking through the forest and said that the ride was steep and rocky, but worth it for the views. While they were riding their bikes, myself and my son walked along one of the easier trails, before meeting the others at the cafe for a bite to eat. We received excellent customer service with a smile

We came here as part of a wider series of visits exploring the Margam estate. The church itself, formed from the nave of the old abbey, was interesting to look around. I was personally puzzled by the idea of paying for the privilege of taking photographs, but it was a peaceful place with interesting architectural features. The ruins behind the church were also an interesting explore, particularly the chapter house. a still impressive structure even in its ruinous condition. There are several notable burials here too, for example members of the Mansel-Talbot family are interred inside the church while gamekeeper Robert Scott is buried in the far corner of the cemetery. This abbey is not particularly extensive, but it is still an important survivor and historic site. It is a place worth incorporating into a visit to Margam Country Park.

i dislike this church. the stations of the cross did not fill me with the greif of king jesus' death! i am pretty sure they were in the wrong orda, why the blinking heck was the hanging on the cross at the bloody start. the body of christ didnt feel like a piece of king jesus himself! it felt like a stale and cardboardy bit of bread. also the attending priest here scares me my dog and child. child gets scared when seeing the priest here. balding and grey do not rate.

Badly neglected and very dated shopping centre - the roof seems to leak constantly, it’s like a depressing late 1970s film set - go to Neath instead!

Thank you so much for making my 6 year olds day. The experience was fantastic! 2 hours in the wind and rain at the top of a mountain, I was worried, but all he talks about is going again next week for SWAT & Army training!

With events like this the enthusiasm of the staff is key to the whole experience, the instructor was so authentic, first class and although tough had empathy for such a little one, unfortunately I was unable to thank him personally as he was issuing orders to the next group. Thank you Sir, it was a pleasure!
