No words! We loved it so much we extended our stay. Our guide Brian was the best, went above and beyond for us - took us tubing on our free day, a trip highlight for sure. Would recommend Suchipakari to anyone visiting the Ecuadorian amazon! Keep an ear out for the wild frogs 🐸

Carlos was an amazing guide! He was able to share so much about the flora and fauna in the jungle along with the indigenous culture. Everyone at the lodge was very attentive and welcoming! The accommodations were comfortable.

They packed a lot of things in to just two days and one night! It’s a very early start coming from Quito (5am) and arriving in at the lodge around 9:30am. The driving service they had arranged to get me there was great, they messaged me in WhatsApp the night before to confirm the ride. Upon arrival I was given a tea and a snack while the basics of the lodge were reviewed with me, along with the schedule. Then there was some downtime where I could rest, swim in the pool, have a drink, or go to the spa. Right after lunch Carlos took me on a walk to identify important plants of the jungle. Then we got ready to go for a short, serene float in an inner tube down the river. After dinner we went with our flashlights on another walk to identify nocturnal animals and critters. The next day after breakfast I packed everything up and took it with me to hike to a waterfall where I got to swim and get a massage from the strong falling water. Then we took a motorized canoe to a local indigenous community for lunch and they showed me some of their local customs and I had a chance to buy some of their artisanal products. Finally, after taking the canoe back to the port I got to see capuchin monkeys running freely in the city plaza. Also got to enjoy the local delicacy of chontacuro, a fat worm that you can eat live or grilled. I then had a private shared transport back to Quito.

Overall it was an amazing experience and I can’t get over how great the people were! I would recommend this experience. Of course with the longer stays you can see and do more, but if you just wanted a taste of what it’s like in the jungle then this is a great option!

This tour from Quito to the Amazon jungle was an amazing experience and taught us so much about the Amazon. Our lovely guide Carlos was very informative and made our trip a surreal experience. The lodge was so beautiful and had friendly staff that were accomodating. We learnt so much about the different types of plants and animals that are native to the Amazon. I would highly recommend this tour!!

This trip was amazing. You can see animals, waterfalls and new cultures. Misahualli is located in Napo-Ecudor. Napo is in the east of Ecuador, but be careful because you can’t swim in the river because the current is very strong. Eat in the pier! The food in this place is very delicious.

What a great day! Akangau was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. We booked the tour somewhat last minute and I’m so glad we chose them! They were super responsive to our questions and requests and got us a tour booked easily over WhatsApp. Our guide Efrain was incredibly knowledgeable and you can tell he really cares about the jungle, its traditions, people, and wildlife. We learned a ton, saw some amazing places, and overall really enjoyed the tour. Lunch at the end was delicious, and we will sleep well tonight! Would definitely do more tours with them the next time we are in Tena.

An amazing country but lots of time driving required to see so much of it in only 8 days (can't include day 1 or 10). Our experience was unique in that my husband and I were "the" tour group! We benefitted from a very personalized Adventure Journeys tour with guide Alfonso Freire, about whom we can't say enough nice things: extremely knowledgeable and interesting as well as fun to spend time with! Alfonso's extensive grasp of Ecuador's history/culture/flora & fauna/geography/topography/etc. were very much appreciated!
As for the tour/itinerary, I am vegan and want to complement the young chef at Liana Lodge (Tena/Amazonia) who prepared delicious meals for me. Despite prior notification through AJ, other places we stayed didn't provide enough vegan alternatives but I've learned flexibility is a must when traveling. Accommodations ranged from 5-star to 3-star, all however were clean & comfortable (upon request, we had a room with electricity in Amazonia & brought a tiny fan for relief from the heat & humidity... thank goodness!).
The people of Ecuador are gracious, the scenery is beautiful and the food is delicious! It is a shame that tourism is being severely impacted by current (political/gang) events however we felt safe wherever we went, with or without Alfonso. Problems do exist but not in areas where most tourists go and people should feel encouraged to travel here!

We had a terrific time and saw so many interesting, beautiful and amazing things. Rebecca Adventure Travel planned everything well, and communicated very effectively. Our tour guide, Daniel, was extremely knowledgable about culture, history, plants, animals and more. He took great care of us. The Cotapaxi lagoon hike was peaceful and pretty. The ride to Quilatoa crater lake and exploring Llanganates park were fascinating - Ecuadorian agriculture is quite impressive, and the people are so resourceful. The basic Amazon Lodge and canyoning were a highlight of the trip - super fun. Our tour was private, so made an extra stop at the Thursday morning Saquasili market, which was a fantastic way to see the fruits, vegetables, fish, meat and other foods of Equador, and to mix with the local people. We also added the Guango lodge onto our tour, where we saw about 10 species of hummingbirds, and a torrent duck - a very impressive swimmer in the current and rapids! There were lots of gorgeous things to look at around Banos, such as the Pailon del Diablo waterfall. The Banos zoo was really terrific - it's not only got very active, interactive animals, but the views from the zoo are great. It was also fun to walk around in Banos in the evenings.

An unbelievable experience in the Amazon Jungle in Ecuador! Our guide Chris literally knew everything about the rivers we paddled and the jungle! An easy adventure that is full of once in a lifetime experiences! The beautiful colors of the flora and fauna were just stunning. My 72 year old wife was hesitant about the adventure but once it started she loved it! The people of Ecuador were so friendly and treated us wonderfully! Anything you wanted to know or needed Chris was there with an answer and ready to help you! A five star adventure that even a beginner to an experienced paddler would love!

We had the most fantastic trip to the Ecuadorian Amazon rainforest with Eduardo! The trip was exciting, like when we travelled to the eco-lodge on a canoe; enormously interesting, like when we saw (and ate!) how chocolate is made from bean to chocolate sauce; delicious - all the amazing food, including a wide range of local produce; beautiful, such as the thundering waterfalls of the Devil's Cauldron; and great fun...all of it! Everyone we met along the way was friendly and welcoming; Eduardo and the local guides were extremely knowledgable about the tropical flora and fauna, and Ecuador in general. We had an amazing time...thank you, Eduardo!
