What travellers are saying
- Mike LevyNew Orleans, LA19 contributionsJust returned home from Paradise Beach Hotel. Can’t wait to go back! I’ll review the hotel in another post but want to make sure the beach itself gets mentioned. Absolutely beautiful. Tons of activities. Especially want to give a shout out to “Pinky “who arranged a number of activities for us. Ask for him by name and he’ll find you the best deals and best operators. He took us on a snorkeling excursion to the Blue Channel. Fantastic! Thanks Pinky!Written March 8, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tanya LWaterville, ME2 contributionsWhat an amazing find! The beach, the food and the snorkeling all top notch. We came here on an excursion during a recent cruise and went snorkeling using Cory’s snorkeling tours. We saw so many fish, and the most beautiful coral. I have done a lot of snorkeling in the Caribbean off various islands but nothing compares to this place, a must see for anyone who is looking for the best! I can’t wait to go back.Written March 10, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Robert W R5 contributionsMayan Princess was a nice place with one main draw back, the buffet is not very good, baerly ok, you can get by but now that good. We ate dinner out 5 of 7 nights due to it not being very good. Drinks and staff are great, no lines for drinks. Pool always had places to sit.
Beach was the best beach we have ever been at, no rocks, no seaweed, beautiful
Mayan divers was also very good, took care of and set up equipment every day, sites are fairly close, 15, 20 minutes...
way better place to stay than the more pricey spot down the beach.
Nice and spicey and hangover hut best places to eat, other places are all the same. Thirsty turtle always had a lively feel with music etc. Hangover hut had a nice band also.Written June 17, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The West Bay beach views are breathtaking.
Wonderful photo opportunities from all directions. There is a small gift shop on the ground level also. We spent about 30 to 45 minutes at el faro and then headed across the street to Roatan Rum company for rum cake samples and delicious rum filled drinks before heading to our next stop.Written February 22, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We had bought a few pendants the year before, so we already knew the quality was great. We always stop in when in Roatan to look over her new designs.Written March 11, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Anissa ZTegucigalpa, Honduras270 contributionsWell, the person who picked me up was nice, however... my tour was at 9:30 am set up by my travel agency, which wasn't the best agency to begin with. I had no idea what was actually happening due to my travel agency not being clear. Anyhow, due to an "inconvenience," Roatan Activities told my travel agency, at the time they were supposed to pick me up, that they wouldn't be able to do the morning tour and offered me snorkeling and the city tour later in the afternoon. I didn't want to snorkelin, but I agreed to a 2pm tour with puck up at 1:45 pm. I didn't get picked up until close to 3 pm. I went to see the sloth, which is the best. But I didn't do anything else on the "tour " that i was supposed to besides take a picture at the ROATAN sign. I agreed to tag along as my "tour guide " said he had to pick up people in French Key. Had a nice conversation with that family. Then he dropped them off at their hotel, and he was driving me back as he picked up his friends. I didn't min, but this was definitely NOT part of the city tour. Unless it was? Lol. Anyhow, I had an air-conditioned transport, got to hold a sloth, and met some nice people. But ifI had a choice, I would NOT have chosen this company for the City TourWritten January 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - John K18 contributionsThe shop owner was so kind. I went in to kill time and learned about the shoes being made on the mainland by Hondurans and then customized by the shop owner. The shop owner made custom beadwork for a gift that could have easily cost double for the qualityWritten May 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lisa M6 contributionsMelony gave the best message I ever had. Perfect amount of pressure and worked out all the kinks. She went over allotted time to ensure she relieved all my tension spots. Excellent
Very, very reasonable price. Spa was clean, not super fancy but the individual room was super comfortable, air conditioned, great smell and candle lit. She is truly a gem, and I bought some cute souvenirs and jewelry that is locally made. I would highly recommend a visit to this store when you visit West Bay.Written April 27, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Vicki SHarrisonville, MO252 contributionsWe stopped here while on our cruise. We found so many gifts and souvenirs to bring back to our kids and other family members here. The prices weren't too bad either. This is definitely a good place to go if you're looking to pick up something unique.Written February 5, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DebnDuaneRoatan, Honduras53 contributionsWhile vacationing in West Bay I had 5 massages; 1 shoulder massage on the beach (ridiculous so don’t waste your time/money-all they do is spread baby oil all over), 1 Thai Yoga Massage (a very interesting experience) 1 from Healing Hands Massage we called by mistake (super gentle) and 2 from Donna which were absolutely amazing! From a complete massage of your scalp down to your toes, Donna works her magic to relieve your problem areas and leave you completely refreshed, relaxed and feeling awesome!!
She brings her professional table to your place. Hands down she is the best!!Written March 6, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
