What travellers are saying
- DPepersIroquois, Canada1 contributionWe had no idea what to expect but it was wonderful. We had only a couple of hours so I missed things I wanted to see such as the sea lions and dolphins but other than that it was a great spot to visit and learn!Written March 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - West B3 contributionsWe got lucky and the two times we went the cruise ships people were leaving so it was later in the day. We also rented an AirbnB that sits right over the Bay so the view of it is beautiful to wake up to every morning. The beach is clean, they have one concession stand for food and one bar, bathrooms, showers, and gift shop. My partner got to see a Sea Turtle as he was snorkeling, I myself got to see a huge Sting Ray swim by me which was terrifying and cool. It’s a more family friendly beach, quiet no music unless you bring your own. My only issue despite me rating it a 5 (its just visually so beautiful) were the chair and umbrella rentals were priced high (like $20 for 1 chair).Written March 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Debbie WRochester, NY9 contributionsWonderful. Beautiful beach with pink sands and turquoise waters. The water was perfect, the bathrooms were clean. Very little food, water, concessions.... Bring a snack and water. Worth the entrance fee....Written March 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Shana NHuntington, NY14 contributionsMy favorite beach of the trip! The water was incredible - warm and calm and not nearly as busy as other beaches. Wish I had a chair, but the water time was fantastic.Written March 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - psudinoWeehawken, NJ4,150 contributionsThe water is crystal clear and there's a bunch of tiny fish swimming around that the kids really enjoyed seeing. The beach itself was quite crowded and there was definitely a touristy vibe, but the kids only wanted to be in the water and look at the fish so it turned out to be a very nice visit for us. I wouldn't spend all day here but if you have an hour between Coral World and going back to the cruise ship this is a very nice stop.Written March 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - HarlenWhitby, Canada2 contributionsWe did some research and found this gem of a beach which is much quieter, friendly atmosphere, dive shop and restaurant right on the beach and decent snorkeling.
We have been to Magen’s and Sapphire before and each was so-so. - Becky SCrozet, VA107 contributionsWe were last here 40 years ago. It’s grown. While somewhat touristy, the banana daiquiri and view are legit. We got the small daiquiri and felt it. The staff was friendly and we bought some souvenirs in an uncrowded environment. The gelato outside was yummy. - Frank CWashington DC, DC32 contributionsFantastic beach, so clean and great services; bathroom, food, and they even have fine wine and champaign! They also cater to kids and take the stress away. Just chill all day and watch the sun go down. Amazing sunset, clear calm water and easy access.Written February 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Edward BBoston, MA195 contributionsGreat scenic views of harbor at Charlotte Amalie harbor and the town. Restaurants and bars at top are a great place to relax and enjoy an incredible view. You have to decide for yourself if it is worth the $25 fare. Not for those who are physically challenged; you usually need to jump on and off the moving car, which has plenty of movement of its own. Just across the street from the cruise piers. A good place to hang out a bit after exploring St. Thomas, before returning to your cruise ship.Written December 16, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Shana NHuntington, NY14 contributionsWhat a gem! There are not many purely nature-oriented activities on St. Thomas, but this Botanical Garden is such a treat for a short visit. The number of different plants is astounding, and the flowers are beautiful. It's an easy walk through the gardens with benches for sitting and admiring. There are also turtles, parrots, and chickens. The woman working the booth was so friendly and knowledgeable.Written March 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
