What travellers are saying
- sierraromeobravoUnited Kingdom1,217 contributionsReally Good. Came here with the family and there was a lot going on in the discovery centre, lots to look at and experiment with. We also watched a science show that was pretty good as well. The staff were really welcoming and friendly. We went during a busy time; so the car parking was a nightmare (get there early to find a space). They also had massive outside play area and café.Written February 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Helen DLondon, UK4 contributionsWe had an awesome and unforgettable family falconry experience at feathers and fur falconry Centre - we all thoroughly enjoyed it. What an amazing opportunity to handle the birds close up, to spend some much time with them and to learn so much about them. Sadie made the session really fun, expertly engaging every single one of us (from age 7 to 70) so that we all had a great time and learnt such a lot. Her love and knowledge of the birds absolutely shone through! Highly recommend!Written March 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - sunshine0386Bracknell, UK57 contributionsI have been to coral reef a few times and it’s always been fun. Today was a bit different. The changing rooms were filthy, so much dirt on the floor. We have a 5 year old and a 3 month old. Today was the baby’s first swimming experience but the pool was just too cold. He was crying and shivering so I had to exit the pool and sit with him in a towel until the 5 year old was finished. I had paid for the spa, so my partner took the kids to the cafe but it was closed which seems ridiculous to me on a Saturday afternoon. How can the cafe be closed on a weekend?Written March 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mr CReading, UK6 contributionsThis place is just gorgeous. Little paths throughout so you can do a long or short walk. Lots of dog walkers so maybe not the best place if you aren’t fond of dogs. Such a well maintained place.Written July 25, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Bunny_KingBracknell, UK607 contributionsLong term Bracknell residents may recall the town centre pre-modernisation - it was like Roman roads and pretty grim, with Princess Square being the best part of it (Bentalls is still missed by me).
Now it is modern, clean and has some reasonable shops.
I was concerned for the long term health of town centres as a general trend - with the advent of modern technology and smart phones they are no longer the focal meeting places they used to be. The internet of course also poses a threat to their well-being but that is the same for all towns.
Some shops have come and gone within a short space of time which does ring alarm bells, but hopefully The Lexicon will persevere and remain a reasonably busy town centre in the same way The Oracle has served Reading.Written August 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Family friendly and fun atmosphere. Good live music too. Great with friends and family. Second time here and will definitely be attending next year!Written June 9, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Richard SReading, UK67 contributionsSo much variety. A great place to browse. Quite a nostalgic place. The older you are the more likely to have seen some items you could have used or read when you were younger. Vintage and Collectable Ornaments, Glassware, Toys, Jewellery and Furniture Items. Local History and Speciality Books such as Military and War stories, Old Car Magazines and Books. Vinyl LPs and Singles. Vintage and Retro Household Articles. A Craft Room. Knitting and Crochet supplies. First day Stamp Covers on sale.Written November 14, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. You get what you pay for as the difference using Double Wear foundation was quite telling.
Amanda my make up artist was terrific. As a man out of his comfort zone sitting in a chair in the store she was terrific. She was so enthusiastic about helping me, choosing the products that would hide my blemishes and spent a lot of time explaining how to apply them properly in order that it would look natural. She helped me feel good about myself and I left the store feeling good and confident as well as having purchased the double wear foundation and powder.
Thanks Amanda- you’re a credit to Estée Lauder.Written February 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
